He's realized that being trapped in a place he doesn't want to be is a less than ideal situation. And so have you, although the circumstances are unsurprisingly different. He was stuck in a world that harbors some dark memories that he would gladly avoid if he could, and you were just stuck in some dumb "blind date".

"Go on a date," Taehyung said. "It'll be fun," he said.

You had given in to get him off your back, but it was one thing for your mind to be filled with thoughts of a man, but it was another thing that that man was the one, not sitting in front of you at a table, but one that was in a different world. Now, don't get me wrong, you know your date was a sweet guy, but you were very, very distracted at the moment.

"(name)? Hello?" your date asked, blinking. What was his name again? Hoseok?

"Ah, yes?"

"I asked you if you liked the food so far."

"Hm? If course! It's delicious."

He offered a smile, "That's good to know. Anyway, you seem a little distracted. Would you like to end the date tonight? We could meet up again some other time."

"Uh, sure!" you blurted, before inwardly cursing at yourself. You would feel bad to retract that statement after agreeing to meet again, so you followed through with it. "Let's meet on Saturday at the cafe? Around 12 maybe?"

Hoseok grinned, and his smile was so bright it pretty much lit up the room. "Sure, I'll see you then."

He calls over the waiter for the check and pays, before the two of you exit the restaurant and part ways with a somewhat awkward hug.

Thank god that's over, you thought, sighing. Ugh, why did I set up that date on Saturday? I was gonna catch up on Idol Producer... Oh well.

"So, how was the date?" Taehyung asks as you enter the house.

"It was alright," you reply curtly, taking off your shoes. "Honestly, I had no fucking clue what was happening half the time."

Taehyung sighs and shakes his head. "This is why you're forever gonna be single," he says.

"Yeah, yeah, Tae. I get it."

He rolls his eyes and shrugs before going back to his room. You trudge to the kitchen and decide to indulge yourself with a little bit of ice cream.

You flop into the cushions of the couch with your tub of ice cream in hand and turn in the TV. While searching for a show to watch, your phone buzzes.

[8:45]unknown number: hey it's hoseok. taehyung gave me your phone number, hope you don't mind. anyways, just wanted to say that i really enjoyed dinner. i'm looking forward to seeing you again! :)

You weren't sure how to respond. You decide to wait 15 minutes before responding.

[9:00](name): i enjoyed it too. see you saturday :)

Adding the smiley face just for safe measures, you reluctantly hit send. It wasn't that Hoseok was a bad person, it was just that you had too much on your mind to be dealing with a potential relationship. With all that's going on, you rushing to try and compose another piece, all the drama with whatever that man's name was, and now Hoseok, it's a lot to take in.

Dating wasn't high on your list of priorities, clearly.

You tossed your phone to the side before finally settling on a show to watch. Hopefully this can take your mind off of some things.

Suga was at peace, to be sure. But strangely enough, he felt that there was something missing. He enjoyed his time alone, he always did, but today, today he felt so painfully aware of his loneliness.

He's settled next to the Corr, before hoisting himself off the floor and to his feet. He lets out a long exhale, scratching the back of his neck. It's lonely without you.

It's strange to ever admit that, as a being who thrives alone.

He supposed it's just a phase. The fact that you showed him kindness after a long time without it, he's sure that it's just gotten to his head. It's nothing big. Just having something that's been missing for years on end to be there again so suddenly is a strange feeling.

Something he was so used to and then not used to was overwhelming. Kindness as a child, pain and torture after death. And here it is again as kindness reappears and represents itself as a human.

He walks out of the cavern, sighing as the wasteland of fire presents itself before his eyes. The Human World is much more beautiful compared to this. It's almost disappointing how horribly ugly the Demon World is to Suga.

He decides it's time to return to a world much more beautiful than his. A place where he hasn't been in a solid week.

The Human World.

He summons a portal and steps through. It deposits him in the trees of a park. The moonlight hits Suga's face as he exits the trees. Shielding his eyes from the moon, he looks around. Usual deposit point, just, in the middle of the night. Great.

He chooses an alleyway to go down, hoping to find another target. You were an option, as he's sure he could find you in the blink of an eye(and you were probably passed out in the couch already), but he wasn't quite sure it was the right time. There's no fun in a boring hunt.

Even if that's what Suga's always preferred, a safe hunt with guaranteed blood supply, he's not always against a thrill. In fact, he loves it. The thrill of a hunt, the idea that a human could figure everything out, unravel the secrets that their parallel universe holds, it excites him. But he knows that no human may ever find out, even you. Sure, you may uncover just a fraction of it, but he was sure you'd never be able to discover more than a fourth of it.

But for once, he's seeking a thrill. He wants some fun in a hunt, and he'll do anything to get it. He'll manipulate, kill, and anything else. It's been too long since he actually had to work for a target.

It's been too long since he's faced a challenge.
