The two of you walk side by side down the street. You hum happily alongside him, as Suga rolls his eyes. What a bother, Suga thinks, grumbling internally. How interesting, you think, the both of you sharing opposite viewpoints of the current situation. You were thrilled to be standing next to him, to have been given the chance the possibly get to know this mysterious man. But he, oh he was far from thrilled. The thought of a human tagging along with him everywhere he went was the worst.

Especially for a person like Suga. Unlike some people he knew, he wasn't so touchy-touchy. He valued personal space quite heavily, and it was most likely from how accustomed he was to being alone and far from physical contact other than the slaughter of a human. Unfortunately for him, you weren't the best person at keeping their hands to themselves. Not to say that you'd go around randomly making physical contact with complete strangers, but you often become restless and fidgety when you're curious. And under these circumstances, you were certainly curious.

You wanted to discover everything. And that's just how persistent you were. How much you wanted to gather information about this guy. As far as you know, he's just a guy with an intimidating presence and good looks. You didn't even know his name or anything about him. How old was he? Where is he from? Questions raced through your mind every second, each one gnawing at your mind begging to be answered. But of course, you were well aware that he wouldn't answer you. Regardless, you choose to speak.

"Hey..."

Met by silence, as you expected.

"Why are you so against speaking to me?"

More silence. Honestly, why do you even bother?

"Hmph. I guess your way of repaying me for saving your life is giving me the silent treatment huh?"

He raised an eyebrow at this, you noticed.

"Who said I needed saving..?" he says lowly.

It's you turn to raise an eyebrow as you retort, "Would you have rathered I left you collapsed on the street in an alleyway? Because I certainly could have done that had I not chosen to show a little kindness."

Oh, how you were ticking off the Demi. You were chipping away at his patience, very slowly but also very surely. A low almost inaudible growl escaped his mouth before he returned to silence. He glares at you from the corner of his eye as you greet it with a cheeky yet subtle smirk, only irking him further.

Who the fuck does this girl think she is? I could rip out her throat right now if I wanted to. Which, right now, sounds very tempting.

Similar thoughts were going through his head as he clenched his right fist, keeping you on the left side of him. To say he was tempted to kill you was an understatement. He wanted to kill you, to get you out of the way. Because he knows. That letting someone as nosy and curious as you stay in such close proximity of him would only lead to trouble. He knows that if you stay around, he would eventually get found out. He needed to find a way to get you out of here before it was too late, and the easiest and most beneficial way for the Demi was your death. Extra blood and a pesky human out of the picture. What more could he ask for?

His gaze shifted over to you, an underlying malice in his eyes. You caught his gaze with your own, sensing the hostility in an instant. He was basically radiating hostility at that moment, and it made you wince just a tiny bit before you returned his glare with one of your own. You could feel it. The sharp, piercing cold stare of his chocolate brown eyes, and the killing intent that lay underneath his colored orbs.

Killing intent was built into Suga since he was a mere toddler. He saw blood daily. He saw people being disemboweled, ripped apart at the limbs, and tortured numerous times since his young age. Death was not a foreign thing to a Demi, and if anything, Death was rather a friend than a stranger to them. He was no ameteur when it came to murder. He's done it plenty of times, after all.

And yet, why, when it comes to you, does the blood in his veins run cold and cause him to hesitate? Why does he hold back? Is it because you showed him kindness when no one else would? Or was it because he subconsciously believed he'd found a real friend? Or perhaps he just didn't think now was the right time for your death.

Many seem to believe that demons are relentless killers who send souls to the afterlife for no reason and just for fun. They are wrong. Suga would know better than anyone. He doesn't kill for no reason, even if it seems that way. He kills when people get in his way, interfere with him, find out too much, or when he's low on blood. And right now, t just simply wasn't he right place, nor the right time.

So instead he lets out a heavy breath through his nose and looks away from you to return his focus on the road ahead of him. Where he was even headed wasn't too clear to Suga himself either. All he knew was he was trying to get you out of his hair. But you simply just would not.

How long do I have to deal with this annoyance? he thinks.

"Forever," you answer.

He's shocked momentarily and shifts his gaze to you once more. "How'd you know what I was thinking?"

"It's written all over your face, sir. You definitely don't look like you have any other expressions than that killer poker face of yours, but your eyebrow was twitching slightly and you were glaring at me with a hint of annoyance in your eyes. The only thing that could've been going through your head was gonna be something along the lines of 'how long do I have to deal with this girl who so graciously saved my life?'"

He's slightly amused, but he doesn't show it. How long do I have to deal with this girl, huh?

He knows the answer to that. He knows it very well. It's all too familiar.

Until I kill you, of course.
