Y/N POV

I am just at a lost for words right now. What happened with Normani doesn't make any sense to me. And my so called friends aren't telling me anything, even Nolan is keeping his mouth shut. All I know is that Normani was in a car with Nolan and Timmy when she got shot. So I'm thinking that I was with Normani but I was really having a date with Noelle.

I'm a bit bothered by that because I was telling Noelle some pretty intimate stuff. But the bright side in this is Normani is okay. The bullet was half an inch away from a main artery. If the bullet would went a little bit to the right she would've bled out and died.

Yes, I am glad that Normani is alive and okay. But I'm upset that she started being shady and keeping secrets. I know that you're supposed to have trust in a relationship but right now Normani and I's trust is a bit broken.

Normani's been at police stations almost everyday since this thing happened. To make it worst she doesn't even come home afterwards. She'll stay out for hours and come home late at night, lay beside me like nothing is wrong. If things don't change I don't think there's gonna be a future for Normani and I.  I can't be with someone I can't trust.

"Dada, I peed!" Devante said excitedly.

I clapped my hands and cheered for my little man. I helped him off the toilet and sat him on the counter so he could watch his hands. Devante hopped off the counter and ran into the hallway when she saw me reaching for the flusher. My son is one of those kids that will use the toilet then runs out without flushing it because he hates the flushing sound. He hates it now but he'll grow out of it eventually.

I stepped out into the hallway and picked him up. "Appy thauce." He said.

"What is with you and apple sauce, man?" I asked.

"It good." Devante said.

"Alright son, let's go ask nana to get you some apple sauce." I said.

My mama has been staying with me since the shooting happened. I like having her around, Devante loves it too.

"What does my handsome grandson want to eat?" Mama asked.

"Appy thauce, pwease." Devante said.

"I got you baby boy." Mama said.

I sat him in his high chair and fixed myself a bowl of fruit. Devante got his apple sauce and went to town on it. My son takes after Nolan and the reason I say that is because once Nolan gets food in his system he starts dancing.

"Mani still at the police station?" Mama asked.

"Yes ma'am." I said.

"Hmmm. I talked to her grandma before I left and she said that Derrick and Drea will be here at any moment to get Mani and take her back home." Mama said.

"Seriously?" I asked.

"Yep. Has Mani talked about going back home?" Mama asked.

"Honestly mama, Mani hasn't talked to me since it happened. I still don't know what happened that night. I've asked Noelle, Nolan, Timmy, even Choie. Nobody is talking to me." I said.

Mama nodded and got on the phone, she called Nolan and told him to come over. I finished the rest of my fruit and wiped Devante's apple sauce covered cheeks. Nolan walked into the house and sat down beside me at the counter.

"Talk." Mama said.

"About what ma?" Nolan asked.

"The shooting and the part you played in it." Mama said.
