*WARNING- This story MAY be triggering for some*

I wrote this a while back so it's not very good, but the next chapters are better.

It was the first day of Junior year and Nash was feeling good about it. It was a new year, he thought, maybe they'll forget about me and pick on someone else. He knew that sounded bad but he knew it was true.

Nash had only a few friends and only one best friend. His name was Cameron, Cameron Dallas.

Nash was known as the "emo" kid. He dressed in somewhat dark clothes, and died his hair every now-and-then. Cameron was the opposite; Cameron wore nice clothes like Polo. He wore brighter colors more than darker ones. He had abs and all the girls chasing him. He was considered popular at their school. Even though they were different, they stuck up for eachother and never left eachothers sides.

-

Nash walked into school with his best friend by his side. They walk through the halls wearing new clothes, and new shoes. Nash wearing a brand new graphic tee, and Cam wearing a brand new pink Polo. Nash walked through the halls with a giant smile on his face to hide his pain, and Cam, he wore a real smile.

"Loser" A tall boy yelled at Nash from the locker. "No one likes you but your little friend or atleast I think he's your friend." He giggled. The blonde haired boy standing beside him grabbed Cam and threw him to the floor, while the tall boy slammed Nash into the locker. People gathered the halls, watching, and cheering for them to fight.

"fight, fight, fight!"

They yelled even though they knew Nash wouldn't fight back.

Nash managed to get away from the boys as well as Cameron.

//THREE HOURS LATER//

This year was the same as the others; getting beaten up, called names, crying, more poundings, & repeat. Nash thought of this several times when he got home.

"Honey, are you alright? You haven't told me how your day went yet." Nash's mom said outside the locked door.

"It was fine momma." Nash lied.

"Okay honey, be down for dinner around 7!" She said walking away from the door. It was now 5:14 and Nash began to think again.

Nash walked to the bathroom and looked at all the cuts and bruises on his face.

This makes me look so much worse than before. Nash thought.

He looked down and saw a tear hit the counter top. He grabbed his box full of razors and pills and grabbed the sharpest razor he had. He took off his bracelets he wore to hide his scars and cut... Deep. He cut a few more times and cleaned himself up for dinner. His mom didn't know about his depression, but Cameron did. Cameron was there for him when no one else was.

//dinner time//

Nash's mom cooked steak and mash potatoes for dinner, the usual. Nash hated that it was only his mom. His dad left when he was 9 and he is part of the reason he is who he is today.

"Nash, Nash.. Hello?!" His mom yelled interrupting his thoughts.

"Oh sorry, I was thinking." Nash said.

"Well how've you been? Are you alright?" She said.

"Good, I guess. and yes, I'm wonderful." He giggled so she wouldn't think he was upset.

"That's wonderful."

"But the real question is, are you alright?" Nash said with worry in his eyes.

"Y-yeah.. I-I'm fine.." She started to tear up, along with Nash.

After Nash's dad left, his mom became an alcoholic and left Nash with his grandparents for years. She recovered two years ago and he has been with her since. She still has trouble keeping herself from drinking but she does it for Nash. Along with that, her dad beat Nash while he was with them. And now, Nash has scars all over him from when her dad threw him around like a bouncy ball.

Nash and his mother sat on the living room floor and cried, thinking of the good times they had and some of the bad.
