**Matthews POV**

My mom and dad rush to the door when we hear a knock. We all crowd around the door and see who it is. It's a young boy with brown hair whom is holding a guitar. "Hello." My mom asked confused..

"Sarah?" The young boy says.

"Yes?" She said still confused "Who are you?"

"I'm Shawn... Shawn Mendes." He said looking up at my mom. "I'm your son."

**Shawns POV**

I get into my car to head to work when I see a familiar face. "Dad?" I say to the familiar man. His name is Chandler Mendes.

"Shawn!" He grabs me and hugs me. "How are you son? I've missed you so much!"

"I'm good. Are you and mom still together?" I say scared for an answer.

"Unfortunately, no... We spilt up after we gave you up." My mom was young and wild. She had me when she was a teen and they couldn't handle me so they gave me up.

"Oh... Do you know where she is? D-Do you talk to her?"

"Actually yes, I talked to her just the other day." He said making me smile. "She lives in L.A."

With that, I went home and packed my things. I wanted to see how she is.

I took an one o'clock flight to L.A. It was a very long flight and I was ready to crash. When I got there I found out her address and her new name; Sarah Espinosa.

When I get to the house I have everything planed out. I know exactly what I'm going to say. I'm going to tell her about how I saw my dad and tell her how my life has been.

I knock the door twice. The door opens and I see her, The woman I never got to call mom. "Hello?" She says with a man and two kids at her side.

"Sarah?" I say to her.

"Yes?" She says still confused. "Who are you?"

"I'm Shawn... Shawn Mendes." I looked up. "I'm your son."

"Excuse me for a minute." A tall man blurts out. I'm guessing that's her husband?

**Sarah's POV**

My son... Shawn. I haven't seen him since, since he was a baby. Everyday I want to throw myself at a wall because I gave him up. I was young and clueless, I didn't know what to do with a baby.

Mike pulled me into the living room roughly and I don't know what to tell him.

"What the hell is he talking about son? I though I've been your only marriage!" He yells loudly.

"Can I explain later?"

"Whatever." He walked away angrily.

When I got back everyone looked confused. I wanted to tell them.

We all sat down at the dinner table and I explained everything.

"When I was in high school I met a guy named Chandler Mendes. We began to date; We went on many dates and got closer and closer. One night, we decided to take it to the next level and that led to a child. We tried to stay together but it was hard. He left after you were born and We decided just to give you up. It was the hardest thing I've ever done. Today, I hate myself for it."

I wiped tears from my eyes.

**Third person**

"Is it alright if I stay here for a little while?" Shawn says to Sarah. "Of course." Sarah walked out of the guest bedroom to get some clean sheets and pillow cases.

Shawn stayed for several months but never talked to Nash until today.

"Hey dork." Jack and Jack say but with a new member.

"Leave me alone." Nash walks with only Matt at his side, once again.

"No." The new member of their 'crew' said.

"Shawn?!" Matthew yelled at the new member. Shawn pushed down Matt and Jack and Jack did the same to Nash.

"You're all worthless pieces of shit." Shawn says.

"I think you got that wrong. I'm not the one who was given up." Matt said knowing he'd get payback.

"You shut your mouth" Shawn starts walking up to me. He kicks Matt, then punches him.

"You're not going to have a home for long." he said. "My mom won't tolerate this shit."

"Whatever." He kicks Nash and Matt one last time then walks away with the populars.

"is that, Cameron?" Nash says pointing at the dude standing next to Jack G.
