"Truth or dare, Awsten." Jawn relays. The guys were playing truth or dare in Geoff's room, since his parents had gone on a business trip. The night had been full of pizza and video games, but now truth or dare was on the table and anyone could be victimised. They had already dared Travis to knock on the neighbours door and scream 'wheat thins!' and walk away looking thoughtful. Then, they found out that Otto has fucked himself with one of his drumsticks -Awsten demanded that he throw all his drumsticks out and buy new ones.
Awsten takes a second to consider before declaring, "Truth." He was always pretty confident in his choices; he was only a little bit afraid of embarrassment. He was an open book most of the time, the only things he kept secret was his love life because it's personal.
Jawn smirks and Awsten gets nervous. He knows that Jawn had thought this out, waiting for Awsten to pick truth. "What's your biggest secret?" The smirk on his face remains and Awsten's nervous smile drops. His stomach drops and feels like it isn't there, his mouth goes dry and his palms start to sweat. He starts thinking, but sees the chance to get the attention off of him. He knows his biggest secret, but he doesn't want anyone else to know.
Awsten turns to look at Geoff, "I don't know, man, I need an example." Awsten states. Part of Awsten doesn't think it'll work - well, most of it - but a little bit hopes it will. 'Forever an optimist' was what many teachers wrote on his reports at school.
Geoff, being the kind soul he is, answered. "Well, mine would be that I like you, Awsten." Geoff smiles, but then it drops when he realises what the actual fuck he just said. He gasps and covers his mouth and everyone is in silence for a minute. Geoff is bright red, as is Awsten. Geoff feels the need to propel his legs to the door and scarper from his own house, but his legs froze.
But Awsten gets a happy little smirk at this revelation; also at the prospect of dating Geoff. "And that wasn't even your turn." Apart from Geoff, everyone chuckles. "But, considering it is my turn: my biggest secret is that I like Geoff." This caught everyone's attention - including Geoff (who was now staring at him with his mouth agape).
Geoff's smile was brighter than anyone had ever seen and it was the purest thing Awsten had ever seen. Awsten beamed back at him, making sweater paws in his lap. "Come over here, Aws, come sit in my lap." Geoff beckoned him over and Awsten gladly obliged; sitting between Geoff's open legs. Geoff wrapped his arms around him, kissing Awsten's cheek every so often out of pure happiness. The game continued and the night carries on.
