In light of new information and comparative results from DNA analysis, the charges against Anne Styles for voluntary manslaughter of her husband, Des Styles, have been dropped. New York imposes sentences of between five to 25 years and may also impose a fine of upto $5000 for the former offense.
It has been indicated that instead on that fateful night, January 19th 2003, her son, the then ten year old Harold Styles, had been the one to end his father’s life out of what is believed to be aggravation at his affair with another woman.
Anne Styles was not entertained on her repeated confession to the aforementioned crime.
Harold Edward has not said a word since his arrest.
