Chapter 2: Coincidence?

Prince Shouto's POV

I was very angry at my dad. Tch! Stupid bastard. Ice was starting to form on my left side because of the anger.

I was stomping through the hallways of the castle when I got the idea of going to the terrace, the highest peak of the castle. Without hesitation, I ran towards it.

It was a tiring run especially on the stairs, I was climbing like forever. But, It was worth it. I slammed open the door as fresh air greeted me.

I took a seat on one of the stones presented there. I can see my whole kingdom from way up here.

I always wonder, What is life there outside these tall walls of the castle? What would a simple life in a village would feel like? I wanna get out of here.

I stayed there for quite a hour or two when I noticed something. This part of the castle was very near to the castle walls. If I could build an ice bridge, I could get away.

I stood up and took a deep breath. "Its now or never!" I muttered.

I stomped my feet concentrating on what am I doing, ice was starting to form. With a blink of an eye, the bridge of ice formed right in front of me ending on the other side which is the castle walls.

With to hesitation, I slid across the bridge. As I was sliding, I took a look around me and thankfully, there were no guards.

I finally reached the end. To lessen or to avoid suspicioun. I used my other side which is fire to melt all the ice. After that, I turned my heal and jumped down from the highest part of the wall. I used my ice to land safely to the ground.

I stood there, looking at the village infront of me when I realised that I was still wearing my prince suit. ''Goddammit!"

"Oh well." I mummbled. I removed the blue blazer as well as the other accesorries. That left me with my white polo, black pants and brown boots. I'm so thankful I dressed simple this morning or else I'll be walking around the streets looking fancy.

I left my other clothes to where I landed, I also left my sword. With that, I immediately ran to the direction of the village. In one of the corners, I saw a hood. I took it and wore it and started walking on the streets.

I saw children playing, fighting. Villagers giving their all just to earn money. Some of the villagers have quirks, but mostly, none.

I smiled at the scenes, when a certain bake shop caught my eye. I still got extra money so, maybe a cupcake won't hurt.

I ran to the bake shop, I was now in front of it when I noticed a girl with armor beside me. She's wearing armor, weird.

With that I ordered cupcakes.
"May I have red velvet cupcakes please?" I was surprised, me and that girl ordered and said that in unison.

I turned to her and saw her staring at me. I just smiled.

"No...You go first." I told her.
"No! You got here first!" She answered back.

"No! You!"
"You!"
"You!"
"Fine!"

Finally she gave in. She bought 6 cupcakes, the cupcakes where beatly arrange in a box. While me, I bought 4 of them.

Once we both finished on paying our cupcakes. I was the first one to speak.

"Sorry for a while ago." I said, scratching the nape of my neck.

"No,its okay. You were the first one who came though." She said. We stared at each other for a minute when we broke out and laughed.
