Chapter 21

Aurora :

My heart was beating thousand miles per second I had barely missed the ground and now I am in the arms of an unknown man, but an attractive unknown man I must say.

He had those deep green eyes with little golden flecks in them, he had well shaped face and jet black hair which complemented his sharp features. He looked at me with a hint of amusement showing in his eyes. He was wearing a navy blue T-shirt and jeans which fit him properly while showing off his biceps.

I quickly cleared my throat and escaped from his grasp has he tried to steady me by holding my waist.

"U-h Thank you so much for saving me from the fall" I said feeling a little awkward.
"No problem at all, It's nice to know I saved a beautiful girl, not everday I get to save girls like you" He answered with a slight smirk.

I immediately knew he was a werewolf.

"Thanks again" I said honestly.

"By the way my name's Smith, Eden Smith" He smiled.

This guy sure had his share of girls.

"Adams, Aurora Adams" I shook his hand mirroring his smirk.

I heard a gasp behind me, I turned to see Emma had closed her mouth with her palms and her eyes were wide as if she realized something.

"Are you Alpha Eden Smith?!" Emma gasped, now Mia too gasped with her.

Wait ! He's an Alpha?

I turned to look at him, he was still staring at me, as if he was searching for something.

"You're an Alpha?" I asked.
"Yes, I am the Alpha of Woodland pack , it's my pleasure to meet you, I guess you're from Blood moon pack?" He raised his brow.

"Yes Alpha" Emma and Mia both replied in unison.

"It was nice meeting you Alpha Eden" I gave a small smile.

"Wait, Are you an unmated female wolf?" He asked curiously. "I didn't find any mark on your neck" he said pointing his eyes towards my neck.

I suddenly felt very conscious, I adjusted my hair so that my neck wouldn't be seen.

Before I could reply, "She's our Luna Alpha" Mia beamed. I smiled at her and nodded my head.

"You're Alpha Zachary's mate!?" He asked in disbelief, he was in a state of shock for a moment.

Was this too unbelievable? Am I not fit to be his mate?

"Yes that's true but why are you so shocked?" I asked now I was fully curious to know why he reacted like that.

Upon hearing my question he quickly covered his shocked expression. "N-no That's nothing I couldn't believe he got a mate! That's really surprising" He said questioning himself.

"I gotta congratulate him myself!" He said excitedly.

I nodded my head, still questioning why he reacted like that. Then I remembered about what Zachary said to me before, That he couldn't believe he has a mate, he was destined to be mateless for ever!.

Why didn't this occur to me earlier?
My brain is useless.

"It was nice meeting you Alpha Eden, I am getting late" I politely replied to him.

"Yes yes sure please"he said making a way for us to go. I gave him a small nod and gestured Mia that we should go.

As I was walking out of the mall I could feel him watching me. It felt way too uncomfortable.
