Ivan's POV

"Did you contact the landlord?" Evan asked, putting his head in the freezer.

"Yeah. He said he'll call for the repair." I replied, putting the pack of ice above my forehead.

Our air conditioner stopped working 4 days ago, making us suffer for 4 days.

Every window and doors are opened, all fans are on, us wearing only tank top and shorts.

"I feel like we're burning in hell." He huffed, most of his body are inside the refrigerator.

I'm not going to pay for this month's rent if the aircon won't be fixed tomorrow.

The telephone started ringing, so I answered it. On the other line was Crimson, who was inviting us to play Mobile Legends with them.

"That's a good idea!" I exlaimed, removing my feet from the ice bucket and stood up.

I hung up and took a bath. When I was done preparing, I decided to bring Evan since I can't leave him here.

I locked the apartment door, heading to Crimson's apartment. I knocked before entering.

Lui was screaming along with Pidro, Aaron dozing at the other end of the couch, Crimson making his high pitched laugh.

I entered the room, feeling the cold air of the aircon. This is heaven.

I sat down beside Aaron, who must've woke up when Pidro yelled. This room is noisy as fuck. I took out my phone and started to join them.

"Where's Ash?" Evan asked, sitting beside Lui.

Have I mentioned that he has a "little" crush for Ash?

"She went to Thena's house." Her brother, Crimson, answered. His gaze not leaving the phone.

After rounds of playing, I finally got promoted to Grandmaster. Oh how I had a hard time being a Master.

"Wait let me use Johnson." Lui yelled, preferring to a character of the game.

"Nah-uh." Evan shook his head, not giving Lui the chance to play Johnson. What a bully.

After that game, we ordered some pizza. After munching, I received a text from someone.

Mickey: Hey, where are you?

I gulped, replying to her instantly. She doesn't like me going to friends' house and play games without her permission, so I lied.

Ivan: Chilling at home, why??

Mickey: Then why are you at Crimson's apartment?

Welp, I'm fucked.

It turns out Pidro posted a pic of us playing on social media. Unfortunately, Mickey saw it.

Mickey: You. Me. Cafe. Now.

I excused myself and rushed to the cafe. I bit my lip anxiously once I saw her.

Arms crossed against her chest, gesturing me to sit down.

"How many times have I told you?" Her voice was sharp and low. I gulped and kept my mouth shut.

"Look," She sighed, her tense aura turned to a soothing one. "I think... I think we should stop."

"What?" I asked, doubting what I heard was true. She repeated it, and my eyes was close to popping out.

"Star sort of warned me," She took a deep breath before continuing. "That we're too young to date. Which I realized was true. Look at us!" She pointed me, then herself. "We've been arguing at petty things almost everyday. And I think I need a break.

I don't think I'm ready yet, Ivan. And I'm sure you aren't too." And with that, she stood up and left.

That was when I realized.

We've been suffering- no, she's been suffering.

I always yell at her especially when I saw her with Crimson or Lui. I always involve her in pointless fights which will just lead her to pain.

I guess I do need a break.

I also left the cafe and head home. Evan was already there, making something for dinner.

Thank God the aircondition is fixed.

I burried myself in the bed and recalled what she said.

"I don't think I'm ready yet, Ivan. And I'm sure you aren't too."

I watched the TV to clear up my mind.

I got a text from Pidro, asking why I left early. I told him everything that happened at the cafe. He advised me just to forget what she said.

Sounds like an easy job.

Which, it isn't. It was like her voice was recorded that time, and that mixtape replaying in my head again and again.

"Dinner's ready," Evan called, the smell of ramen filled our apartment slot. I went to the kitchen and saw two cups of ramen from a nearby convenience store.

We ate while watching a movie from Evan's laptop.

*Beep*

I received a message from plant.

Plant: I heard what happend at the cafe.

Plant: Remember what I told you? I'll break your ribs when you hurt her.

Ivan: Wait, let me explain, Thena.

I told her that Mickey was the first one to let go, which spared my life. I wasn't blaming her though. I understand that she isn't ready yet.

Comparing this from my past relationships, only Mickey gave a good reason why we should part.

I hope she comes back.
