"There's our ride."

I could see it, the quinjet in the hangar. It was so close, but I just knew that something bad was going to happen.

Of course, it came in the form of a flying purple man with an infinity stone embedded in his forehead.

Our small ragtag group slowed down and an almost laser-like thing shot from the stone, carving into the cement in front of us.

"Captain Rogers," the thing called. "I know what you believe you are doing is right, but for the collective good you must surrender now."

Tony's group of 'hero's gathered across from us, lining up almost like we were about to form a wall of death at a Black Veil Brides concert. In a way, I guess we were doing just that.

"What do we do, Cap?" Sam asked, and we all looked to Steve, who's face was glaring at the enemy lines.

"We fight." He ground out, and I felt the fear rise in my chest again as both sides started advancing.

I quick grabbed James' hand as we started into a jog, "no matter what happens, I love you."

He chuckled a bit, despite the circumstance. "We love each other and I never even got to ask my best girl out for a dance."

I looked over at him. "I think you did. Just in another time, another place."

He sighed now, and our hands broke apart. "I love you too, Lilly."

The sides clashed together, and I went after the kid from Queens. "иди сюда, ты маленький паук." I hissed, launching myself into the air after him.

He jumped around a lot, staying just out of reach of me, and it was frustrating to say the least, but I also found it kind of fun. It was almost like a game. "Woah, you speak Russian? That's really neat!"

"You think everything is cool, don't you?"

"Well, yeah, this isn't the kind of stuff I get to see every day."

At last, I was finally able to grab him out of the air and brought him down with my yellow strands of energy, keeping him pinned to the ground for a few moments. "You're just a kid from Queens. Why are you here, you're going to get killed."

"I'm just here to help out Mister Stark." He replied, and I could tell he was being honest. He genuinely believed he was doing the right thing.

"Kid, whatever Mr. Stark told you was a twisted lie because he wants to protect his ego. My brain was put through a blender by some bad people, they messed me up pretty bad, and because of them I did some pretty bad stuff, but if I didn't know that I was doing the things I did, would you put me up for execution?"

"What? No!"

"Exactly." I let him go and he jumped to his feet, just staring at me for a moment.

"He wants to kill you?"

I nodded. "Kill me for things I had no control over. If they take me in today, I'm going to die."

"You seem so nice though."

I smiled at that, "I try to be. I want both of us to get out of this alive, and maybe when everything settles we can go for coffee or something, but heres our plan." I was surprised no one had noticed our lack of fighting. "You're gonna web me up, when the battle's almost done I'll get myself out and leave, and I'll keep in contact with you."
