Wherever You Are

~I know I shouldn't tell you but I just can't stop thinking of you, wherever you are~

I load my stuff into the bus and sit with the others. The bus is a complete tour bus, with bunk beds and a lounge in the back. We all sit in the lounge.

"How are you?" David asks.

"I'm happy to be here." I sigh. "Dom isn't taking this well."

"You'll see him again soon," Scott says.

"I know, but we haven't spent time apart since we started dating." I sink further into the couch.

"Our first stop is San Francisco," David announces. "Everyone, chill out, drink a bit, whatever you need to do. We'll be there in about seven hours or so."

David and the others move to different parts of the bus. I stay in the lounge and lay down on the couch.

Todd stays with me, but he moves closer until he's next to me. "Do you want to talk?"

"I just, I feel like Dom wanted me to back out of touring. He kept stressing over what these three months meant for us, and I just kind of brushed it off. I love him and obviously want him to be okay with this, but he made me feel like I had to choose and I chose you guys." I sigh, rolling over to face Todd.

"As long as he realizes what this tour means to all of us, it'll be okay. It's not like you had a choice in coming or not." Todd replies.

"That's what Dom needs to realize. I'm here because it's my job. I can't say no to my boss." I roll my eyes.

"Once he sees how much fun you're having, I'm sure he'll be fine. Besides, he's a grown man. He can always come to see you." Todd laughs.

"Can I have a hug?" I ask, sitting up.

"Of course." Todd hugs me and I sigh.

Eventually, we reach San Francisco. I call my mom and let her know I'm in the city. She comes to the hotel we're staying at.

"Mom!" I exclaim when I step off the bus.

"Hi, sweetheart. I know your friends have a show tonight, but do you want to get dinner with me first?" She asks as she hugs me.

"I'd have to ask David. This is so unexpected, wow." I laugh. "Hey, David!" I shout at him.

"What's up?" He asks as he walks over. "Hello, Ally's mom."

"Hi, David." She laughs. "Can you allow my daughter to go to dinner with me?"

"As long as she's back by seven. Our show starts at eight." David touches my shoulder. "Seven."

I salute him and walk off with my mom. "I didn't expect you to come all the way into the city!" I laugh.

"What did you expect?" She asks.

"I just wanted to let you know where I was. I'm glad you came here, though. I needed a break from the squad." I sigh.

"What's wrong?" She places a hand on my shoulder.

"Dom doesn't like me being on tour." I shrug. "It's really nothing. Toddy said he needed to man up."

"When is the tour over?" Mom asks.

"Three months. It's not too terrible, but it's the first time Dom and I have been apart since we started dating."

"I'm sure he'll be fine." Mom laughs.

Mom and I enjoy a couple hours together in the city. I'm back at the hotel by seven and I promise my mom to update her every time I'm in a new city.
