Sleepover

"I'll see you in a few hours." I smile as I say the words.

"I'll see you soon." Corey hangs up.

I pack a small bag and change into something comfy. I finish editing David's video and upload it, titling it Vlog Squad: David Dobrik Tells All, before checking my phone. It's time.

I head to Corey's and knock on the door. He opens it and hugs me tightly. I kiss him when I pull away.

"I forgot to mention this earlier, but Dom called me yesterday."

"What?" Corey pulls me inside. "What did he want?"

"Nothing, really. He asked about you and me." I shake my head. "Can we not talk about my ex-boyfriend when you asked me to stay the night?"

"Anything you want, babe." Corey kisses my head.

He shows me around and we end up cuddling on the couch, watching a movie. Apparently, I fall asleep, because Corey is shaking my shoulder and waking me.

"How long was I asleep?" I groan.

"Just through the movie." He laughs. "We can go to the actual bed if you want."

I nod and follow him to his bed. He pulls off his shirt and climbs under the covers. I nervously join him, cuddling up to him.

"Corey?" I ask.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for inviting me over." I murmur.

He doesn't say anything. Instead, he pulls me even closer and presses a kiss to the top of my head. I fall asleep listening to the beat of his heart.

A few hours later, I wake with a dry throat. I peel the covers off of me as quietly as I can, but when my feet touch the floor, Corey asks, "Where are you going?"

"To get some water. Do you want some?" I smile to myself.

"I'm good." Corey mumbles, falling back asleep.

I make my way into the kitchen and pour a glass of water. As I sit at the bar and drink my water, an all-too-familiar face appears before me.

"Dom, what the hell are you doing in my boyfriend's apartment?" I snap, careful not to wake Corey.

"His roommate asked me to check on his pet," Dom smirks.

"At one in the morning?" I roll my eyes.

"Ok, so I planned it so I could run into you. But I wanted to see you, Ally." Dom sits next to me.

"You could have asked to see me! Instead, you set up an elaborate plan to casually run into me at my boyfriend's house?" I try my best not to raise my voice.

"It wasn't an elaborate plan." Dom chuckles. "He just asked me to look after his pet and he told me I could stay the night. I just didn't know that tonight you would be here. Nobody warned me."

"Oh, so you have to be warned that I'm going to be somewhere? I'm a normal person, Dom, not the plague." I roll my eyes.

"So? I'd like to know when you're going to be somewhere that I am. Look, Ally, I know it was bad, the way we left things, but we really need to talk." Dom says.

"What more can you say?" I shake my head. "No, seriously, Dom. What else can you tell me that I haven't already been told?"

"I don't know, Ally. I want to fix this." He runs a hand through his hair.

"Why did you do it, Dom?" I ask, narrowing my eyes.

"I was drunk and alone." He sighs. "That's not an excuse, I know. Believe me, anything you could say won't compare to what I've already been told or thought myself."
