Mission 33: Too Late

Katelyn's POV

As soon as we heard Aphmau's voice 'you're good to go' we all sprung into action. We snuck past some guards and who I think was Salem. They must have noticed us outside and sent him out to find us.

He was very unsuccessful.

The first people in the building were (Y/n) and Garroth. We all waited back a bit for (Y/n)'s signal.

Garroth kept the overwhelming number of guards of her well she seat up a bomb on the floor.

"Garroth get out!" (Y/n) yelled tackling him just out of reach of the explosion.

All of the guards lay on the floor and the walls lit on fire.

(Y/n) put up her hand telling us to stay back. She walked around the floor examining the guards. After a couple minutes of no one else coming to keep us away. It was safe to split up.

Travis called the rest of the men on his team. Their job was to seat up bombs take out as many men as they can on there way. They ran done the left hallway.

(Y/n) and Garroth took off up a staircase. They were going to the middle of the building where the most guards would be.

Dante was staying here to keep the exit clear for me Nicole and Aphmau.

I located the staircase Nicole and I were meant to go up.

"Nicole over here!" I called to her across the large room.

She ran my way and we started our long journey up the stairs.

"That bastard Aaron building his jail on the top floor." I snarled.

"Well I mean it's a pretty good idea. A cell in the basement is far easier to get to than the top floor of a fifty story building." Nicole laughed.

"It's more secure in the basement."

"Nothings secure if you give (Y/n) a bomb. Aaron figured that out a long time ago."

"Very true." I couldn't help but laugh with her.

After what felt like hours we finally reached the top.

It wasn't wise to take the elevator. Anyone could cut the wires holding it up and we would fall to a instant death.

Nicole placed her hands on the first doorknob. I held my gun ready to fire.

Now that we were so close to Aaron I had to admit I was afraid to fight him. (Y/n) was right when she said he was a monster.

The door flew open. I fired at every moving thing. I ran out the door and made my way down a long corridor. Nicole close behind me.

Every once in a while a couple guards would try to surprise us but other than that the floor was pretty empty.

I mean they were all dealing with the devils also known as my family downstairs.

We reached another metal door. I turned the handle.

"It's locked."

"Identifying."

Nicole and I both jumped. It was Leo.

"Katelyn elite member. Nicole elite member. Access accepted."

The door opened. The scenery changed from a modern hallway to a dark cold gloomy room full of cells.

I could hear talking not too far away.

"You hear that?" I questioned looking back at Nicole.

She was loading up her gun. "Yeah, this way."
