I've been in the hospital for three weeks. Today is the day. The day I loose my leg. Goodbye running. Goodbye long walks on the beach. And goodbye surfing... I can't believe this is happening. Dad came out to help. The doctor came in. I looked up from my phone. She looked at me sternly and shook her head, I knew it was time. I hugged dad and Collins. "Devan you are strong, we're going to get through this" he whispered. They left the room. I was terrified, what if something went completely wrong. Tears filled my eyes. "Ma'am?" I asked the doctor
"Yes?"
"How much is coming off anyway?" I asked
"Your whole leg."
"O-oh ok..." I took one long last look at my leg.
The doctor gave me some medicine and I was out.

It felt like I blinked and I was awake. I couldn't really focus and I didn't know what I was doing. I could see two figures walk in. It was Collins and dad, I heard them gasp. Collins feel on the floor and started weeping. I looked down... my leg... was gone. I screamed. The doctors rushed around me to calm me down. Blood was everywhere.

Collins's POV.

Devan screamed. I fell to the floor and sobbed uncontrollably. There was blood everywhere, doctors rushed around him 'stay strong Collins. Crying is going to scare Devan even more.' I thought. Trying to stand up I whipped my face and stood next to dad who had his hand over his mouth. His eyes were red and I could tell he was crying. He pulled me out into the hall. "Collins Devan will have to move back with me, he can't finish college here, he needs to be with me"
"Well what about me?!" I asked
"You can come back or you can stay in Miami"
"I'll come back to Cali. There's not way I'm leaving Devan." I said. I turned around and walked back into the room. "Hey Devan." He was really loopy and I don't think he knew what he was doing.
"The chair is levitating again!" He shouted. He was being really loud and saying a lot of funny stuff. I think he forgot about his leg. He set his hands in his lap. "Where is my leg?!" He shouted. He started crying. I ran over to him. "Devan it's going to be ok. We're here.."
" I can't focus and my head hurts really bad." He said rubbing his forehead. "Here just lay down and try to go to sleep, ok?"
He laid down and he was out in a snap.
The doctor was talking to dad and I sat next to Devan and looked at him. Tears filled my eyes. He's been through so much. He's been bullied and beat and verbally abused and he's almost committed suicide.
He almost lost me and he couldn't keep any food down. He's had really bad depression for a long time and then mom died and now this. He looses his leg.

Devan's POV

I woke up. It was dark and I saw dad in Collins sleeping in the chairs. I grabbed my phone to look at the time 2:38 am. I looked at my left leg, the I looked over to where my right leg should be. Tears started streaming down my face. "Well I might as well say goodbye to everything I love to do." I whispered. I honestly just wanted to die at this point. I can't take life anymore.
