I paced the hotel room, thinking about yesterday. I ran my fingers through my greasy hair, my palms were sore from breaking pencils.
I flopped on the bed.
"I'm such a terrible boyfriend." I said looking over at the nightstand where my pocketknife lay.
I wanted to grab it, but I'm trying to break that bad habit.
I stood back up and pulled my hair and then hit my fists on the desk.
I wanted to call Bailey, but she wouldn't answer. It wouldn't sound sincere.
I felt sick.
I ran to the bathroom and hurled.
It keeps happening.
I decided to call Collins.
I pulled out my phone and went to his contact.
It started to ring. And then finally he picked up.
"Hello?"
"Hey Collins."
"Hey Devan! What's up bro?"
"Not much, Hey can you come over? I'm in a hotel right now."
"Um sure... but why are you in a hotel?"
"I'll explain when you get here. I'll send you the address."
I hung up and fell to my knees, I started crying. I felt guilty, and stressed and awful. I just wanted to die. I really do want to die. What is my life anymore? I hate it. I honestly do.
About 20 minuets later I heard a knock on my door.
I opened it and Collins came in.
"Bro are you ok?"
"Yea I'm fine."
"Have you been crying." He asked.
I ignored him.
"What's been going on?" He asked."I broke up with Bailey..." I told him.
"You did what now?" He asked in shock.
"I didn't want to. I want to get back together with her. I was stressed, scared." I said."So you think she's not stressed or scared?"
"No I can't even imagine how she feels. And I wasn't thinking about her feeling at the time. I was thinking about me and my feelings." I said.
"I'm sorry Devan. But you got yourself into this situation. But I'll do anything I can to help you." Collins said smiling.
"Thanks bro. Do you have any ideas on how I can get back together with her or at least just apologize?"
"I have an idea! What's her favorite food?" He asked.
I was confused
"Sushi."
"Ok, so get sushi, flowers and chocolate, I know weird combination, but take it to her and tell her that you're sorry and whatever else you want to say. It'll work. Trust me." He said patting me on the shoulder."Thanks bro. I'll go tonight, I might need to clean up a little."
