"He can go home today, he can get an artificial leg in California in two months." I heard someone said as I woke up. "Wait I get to go home?" I asked shocked. "Yes sir." The nurse said shaking her head. I wanted to get out of my bed and jump for joy but I couldn't.
A few hours later the nurse came in with a wheelchair. "Collins and Steven could you help get him in the wheelchair?" She asked.
They came over and picked me up. I put my left leg on the ground, I couldn't keep my balance, but that's why they were holding me up. I was also very weak, considering I was in bed for 2 months. I got put in the wheelchair. "Thanks." I said to them.Collins's POV
I gripped the handles on Devan's wheelchair. I pushed him out into the hallway while dad and the nurse talked. I didn't want Devan to hear what they were saying, it'd probably scare him...
"Oh collins I left something In there, could we go get it?" He asked. "Here I'll go get it." I said going into the hospital room.Devan's POV
I gripped the key necklace around my neck, the one that used to be Collins but he gave it to me when he was extremely sick. He told me to keep it, I grab it when I'm scared or feeling down, it makes me remember all of our good memories.
Just then someone started pushing me. I just assumed it was Collins.Collins's POV.
When I came back out into the hallway Devan was gone...
