Chat Noirs Point of View
"Chat?" I heard her say, confusion flooding her bluebell eyes.
Her parents automatically stopped talking and rushed over to the bed. "Y-you can remember him and not us?" Her father almost whispered.
"Should I remember you?" She questioned.
Both of her parents started crying. The door suddenly opened and the nurse and a doctor came in.
"Can you please leave so we can ask her a few questions?" The nurse asked us.
"Charlotte, I think we can let her family and a superhero stay for the questioning. It might help her memory." The doctor said kindly.
"Fine." Charlotte grumbled.
"Now," The doctor said, turning to us. "Did you guys notice anything on her memory. I know we should have talked to her first, but we didn't want to keep you waiting, so we don't have all the information that we'd like to have." The doctor explained.
"She couldn't remember us, she probably thought we were doctors." Her mother sobbed.
"She could remember him." Her father said in an almost angry way, pointing at me.
"Okay then, it's worse than expected." She noted, brushing a strand of her long red hair behind her ear. "Now," She began, turning to me, "how do you know her?"
"I-I don't really know her." Well, I didn't in the suit, "She was a friend but I only saw her once or twice." That was a lie, I saw her quite a bit, but I couldn't say that in front of her parents.
"Were you in a romantic relationship in any way?" She pressed on.
"Umm..." I thought back to our one kiss. Then realized that she's probably forgotten it after a few days. "No." I answered.
"Okay then," she turned to Marinette. "Hi, I am Doctor Masson, but you can call me Josiane, and I'm going to ask you a few questions." She smiled sweetly. "Is that all right with you?"
"I guess." Marinette said, "I hope I will be able to get them all right."
"Me too." Josiane said, then got out a clipboard and pen. "Can you tell me your name?"
Marinette closed her eyes for a second, thinking. "I do not remember my name, although Chat," she pointed at me, "called me 'Marinette'. Is that my name?"
"Yes." Josiane replied. "Do you remember your age?" Marinette shook her head. "What about your school or friends?"
"I do not remember a school, but I know that Chat is my friend."
The doctor nodded. "What about your parents? Do you remember your mother or father?"
"I-I have parents?" She asked. Josiane nodded. "Where are they?" Marinette suddenly looked angry.
"Right here, honey." Her mother said, putting her hand on Marinettes arm.
"Are you two my parents?" She asked, gesturing to her mother and father.
"Yes." Her father said, and I nodded, not really sure what to do.
Marinette looked even angrier. "Where were you?"
"Please leave." Josiane whispered to her parents, but thanks to my cat-like hearing, I heard it. They nodded and left the room, both crying. Doctor Masson turned her attention back to her patient. "What do you mean by 'Where were you'?"
"They aren't in my memory, so they must not be important, probably absent most of my life."
"That's not true." Josiane said, "Your memory is a mystery to us all." Josiane put a hand on the hospital bed. "And that leads us to him." She gestured towards me. "Probably the biggest mystery of your memory to us all."
This chapter felt..... pointless. I swear there will be some interaction between Marinette and Chat Noir in the next chapter that I am working on already because I am really excited for it, and this didn't feel like the best of chapters, so I feel like I need to make it up to y'all.
My phone deleted half of this chapter halfway through, so I am pretty frustrated, but I think this version is better than the first, so, yeah.
RFF: Mel Blanc (the voice of Bugs Bunny) was allergic to carrots!
How ironic! I've watched a few things with Bugs Bunny in it and a carrot always appears sometime in the film. 🥕 I don't think that I've ever met someone allergic to carrots, I honestly didn't think it was a real thing. 🤷♀️
Love ya guys! 🦄
