Home nightmares

I got in again and mum wasn't there. Joe was with me and I just thought she was working overtime. We went into the kitchen and I made him a cup of tea and a sandwich. He was looking at all the photos of me as a baby with mum. She took all the photos of dad down because they made her cry too much. There wasn't a single photo of him in this room or hers, there was a secret one behind a photo in my photo frame but I kept that to myself. It was a photo dad had taken before he left the last time of my and him with the sun behind us and we looked amazing. Joe kept wondering around with his food. We went up to my room. We sat on my window seat looking over the stables, Joe had out his arm around me and every so often he lent in really close and he would whisper in my ear that he loved me and he wouldn't he always would. I gave him a hug and he began to kiss my lips. The kiss went on for ages, not the type we did around school. This was proper. I relaxed against the wall behind me and he bent over me. That's as far as I got. There was a firm knock at the door. Joe sighed and leant back annoyed.

"Sorry babe" I said getting up, I saw him follow behind me. I got to the door and there was a official looking person there.

"Miss Lily?" She asked.

"Yes" I said. She barged right last me into our open hallway.

"I have some distressing news and you might want to sit down" she said. Dad. Mum. Someone.

"Ok" I said shooing Joe back up the stairs and I went into the living room and shut the door.

"I assume you've noticed your mum isn't home" she said.

"She's probably working overtime" I said.

"Yes, well, she was" she said.

"What?" I asked.

"Well, she was doing very well considering everything" she began "but, she's had a little break down"

"How bad?" I asked.

"Very" she said "she's in hospital now and won't be out for the next few weeks"

"But she needs me" I said.

"She needs doctors and classes to sort her anxiety out" she said firmly.

"Can I see her?" I asked.

"No, you are too pack your bags, say goodbye and come with me" she said.

"Where? Who are you? Why can't I see her?" I asked all at once tears spilling down my face.

"To a foster home. I am Kelly Ranger, a social worker. And because she is I a critical condition" she stated. Joe ran into the room at that point and hugged me.

"She's not going anywhere!" He said.

"And you are?" She asked.

"Joe Sugg, her boyfriend" he said standing over her.

"Well, your not family so unfortunately you have no say over what happens to her" she said and she grabbed my hand. I drew them back quickly.

"She can live with me. My mum can sign everything and be her new home" he said and gasped. He would do that? What if we broke up?

"I will need to speak to both guardians first" she said "in the meantime, she comes with me"
