To Russia

Chapter 1 - To Russia

Pina's POV

School... Isn't really the place for me. I may be 12 now but that doesn't mean that I have the knowledge of an average 12 year old. I hope Zaku hasn't forgotten that everyone in the RDAA gets the best education in the world and that they get a small chip implanted into their brain that lets them solve any problem and give them a perfect memory! The RDAA are trying to create better humans by replacing some of their bones with special alloys and attach chips into people's brains to make them smarter. They've been doing this in secret for the past 500 years. 5 other people and I were chosen to be changed into a 'Demi-God'. Each one of us were made to represent an element present on Earth: Fire, Water, Air, Earth (as in dirt) and life (It's something like Avatar and the last airbender). Talon was 'blessed' with fire, Ashe with water, Alex with Earth, William with air and I was 'blessed' with life. Talon was my older brother, Ashe is my best friend, Alex and William weren't very social but we were still good friends. The doctor wouldn't let me train with everyone else but instead I had to learn about the human body and how it works since my ability was to heal things. They said that learning this would improve my healing abilities but I doubt that because whenever they bring a soldier into the healing room, all I have to do is flex my fingers and the soldier's healed. The doctors think that my skill is improving thanks to all the biomedical books but I think that the actual healing bit is helping me improve. In the weekends, Ashe would ask me to come and spar with her in the training fields outside. We discovered that I could control plants and make them fight for me. She would always win because she could freeze the sap in the plants and basically stroll past them. Ashe would give me advice on how to improve my plants and how I could possibly prevent the sap from freezing. Talon was the strongest out of the 5 of us. His fire could burn through pretty much anything and when he gets serious, his fire transforms into scorching lava. The doctors can't find any way to improve his elemental skill so they let him do whatever he wants. Talon spends most of his time meditating in his room. I wish I could see them again but I can't since the island that the experiment took place in got destroyed. We each went our separate way and haven't seen each other since.

"Kat!! Are you even listening?" I looked up at Mrs. Jack my maths teacher. She wasn't a very nice or very good at teaching maths. "Answer this question: 6x6+20." What kind of a question is that?

"56." She gave me a stern look and continued on with the lesson. 10 more minutes of school left until I can go home and complain to Zaku about how boring this school is.

After School

"Please can you send me to another school? Please! My maths teacher asked me what 6x6+20 was today and everyone else had no clue about what the answer was. Please send me to another school!!" Zaku sighed and patted my head.

"Fine, I'll send you to another school on one condition... You find the school you want to go to. This will be the last time that I'm going to help you change schools... ok?" YAY!!

"Thank you so much!" I ran to the computer and started searching for schools with a higher education. Ah, here's one, a school for talented gifts and it offers a wide range of opportunities for students. Trail week is available for all kids who are planning to join the school. "ZAKU!!"

"Have you found a school?" I nod and show her the website. "Seems like a good school to me."

"That's what you said about my current school..."

"Never mind that, why don't we start your trail week on Monday? It's in London which will be a pain but I guess that it'll be worth it if you're happy."

"Yay, thank you so much Zaku!"

On Monday

Wow, this school was a lot larger than I thought that it was. Zaku dropped me off at the school and left when I entered the building.

"Hello, you must be Seikatsu."

"Hi..."

"I'm Dr. Paris. So, if you would follow me I would like to show you to your buddies and the class that you'll be staying with for the week." I followed her around the labyrinth and into a class labelled M1. "This is class 7S and this is a music classroom."

"I love music!" We walked in and the classroom was empty. Its 7:40 and I guess that it's a bit too early for school to start. The room had a piano in it.

"Can you play a piece for me on the piano?" I nod and sit at the piano. I start playing Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 23. I was one of my favourite pieces to play. After 10 minutes, I finished the piece and I had noticed that there was another person standing in the room. "That was amazing! This is Mr Sons and he is the head of the music department."

"Well done, you played that piece perfectly. The dynamics (Loud, quiet, soft, etc) were beautiful and the tempo (the speed) was absolutely perfect. I think that you have a talent in playing the piano. Do you play any other instruments?" In fact, I play nearly every instrument.

"Well, I play the cello, violin, viola, bassoon, flute, piccolo, harp, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion, guitar and the lute."

"Wow, that's a lot of instruments." Mr Sons said. Dr Paris showed me around the school and then left me in M1. I had few more minutes to spare so I started to play the piano again.

Hannah's POV

I think it's time that we all go out for a massive holiday! It's been ages since I've went on a proper holiday which was not work related. Maybe I'll bring it up during the monthly meeting with everyone.

"Hey Hannah, can I talk to you?" It was Kim, she hasn't been in the offices for a while and no one has been able to contact her recently. I followed her into her office and leaned against the desk as she sat down.

"What's up Kim? You look a bit down in the dumps." She sighed and showed me a picture on her phone. It was of her in Malaysia with her family. Kim was in the middle holding her silver play button plaque for reaching 100,000 subscribers.

"They're gone..." I looked up from the photo and at Kim. What does she mean by gone?

"What do you mean by gone?" I sound so stupid right now.

"A terrorist group in Russia has captured them and I don't know what to do. My brother sent me a letter from within the prison and he told me that they were planning to train us to go to war and if they didn't obey then they would kill them." I heard Lewis say something about this terrorist group. "Hannah... I don't know what to do."

"Kim..." I hugged her and let her cry on my shoulder. "I can't get your family back by myself but maybe we can get them back with the help from everyone in the office." She looked up with eyes full of hope.

"Do you think that the others will agree?"

"I'm sure they will. Come on, let's go to the meeting and bring that up as a problem." She nodded and wiped her tears with her sleeves.

In the Common Room

"Ok guys, first off, does anyone have any suggestions on what to do for our celebration for hitting 7 million subs?" Only Simon raises his hand. "That does not include baking a massive Jaffa Cake and eating it?" Simon lowered his hand but raised it straight back up. "Or anything involving Jaffa Cakes." Simon lowered his hand again. "Ok then, does anyone have any problems they would like to raise?" Kim looked at me from across the table. I raised my hand and Lewis looked over at me. "Yes Hannah?"

"We have a big problem that involves one of our members personally." I looked over at Kim and she nodded. "Kim's family is in danger. They've been captured by the Russian terrorists and are being forced to join them with their organisation." Everyone in the room looked over at Kim who was starting to cry. Zaku walked besides Kim and tried to comfort her.

"I guess it's time to head over to Russia since a few members have important business in Russia, does that sound ok to you Lewis?" Zaku said. He sighed and nodded his head.

"We'll leave in 5 days. Zaku, arrange the transport, a place for everyone to stay at and safety precautions. Ok guys, start recording a months or so worth of videos because I can't guarantee that we'll be back by next week." Everyone stood up and rushed off to their office. I was planning to do a walkthrough of two games and tell the editors to upload them slowly.
