~Zeriel~
Flip... flip... flip
I flipped a coin that was from the human's currency, and watched the silver reflect my handsome features with a smirk. Letting out a sigh of boredom, I stood up in front of a wide screen dropping the coin.
"Ugh... Alex when are you going to do something exciting for me to watch!" I yelled in the vast darkness, but there was never a voice to acknowledge my presence.
Since Alex was born, all I saw was his life, his experiences, but never my own. The darkness around me was the only friend I could talk to. The coin was the only thing I could hold onto because-
The ground shook below my feet interrupting my thoughts, and I stumbled forward gritting my teeth. Everything started to change when the fool met the little human girl. The darkness used to be quiet, but now it roars around me.
I stood up regaining my balance when the darkness finally calmed down, and I looked up to the wide screen. The screen showed Alex's perspective similar to how the human's watch movies.
I squinted at the screen trying to understand the situation. He seemed to have his face pressed against the rocks. Trees leaned above him, and there were multiple legs belonging to humans.
"Show me what's happening brother." I murmured under my breath searching the screen.
I saw the humans grin as they held different objects. Before I had a chance to blink they started to attack my brother, and I felt anger welcome my embrace yet again. Alex remained still absorbing the impact.
"Fight back you idiot!" I roared swinging my fist at the screen that engulfed my hand without harm. Hitting the screen caused a ripple effect travel across from my impact, but it soon subsided. I retrieved my hand, and could only watch. My anger towards humans never seemed to stop boiling over, and every encounter seemed to increase my hatred. I turned my face away, and summoned the coin from my thoughts. The coin felt cold between my thumb and index finger. It was the only thing I could use to distract myself.
"I told you... to run!" Alex's voice echoed in the darkness. I let the coin fall my eyes widened to a small human standing in front of my brother. I slowly walked closer to the screen to get a better look.
The human was female, and she barely had any muscle on her arms. The girl's hair was purple, and it moved slightly with wind. Reflection from the sun expressed the different shades of purple in her hair.
There was something off about this human from the other ones. I searched my memory for her name, but the screen turned black.
"Serilda..." A voice whispered beside me.
"Welcome back, brother," I turned to Alex, but was surprised there wasn't a circle around him from earlier.
"You know... it's rude to come here without knocking." I explained scanning my eyes around the darkness for a sign of the circle.
"Why am I here, Zeriel? Those humans are dangerous, and I should be out there." Alex's voice was barely a whisper as his hand glided across the transparent screen.
"Why should you protect her? She's a human, and she probably got you both in this absurd mess." I questioned with clenched teeth grabbing onto his shirt collar.
"There is something about her, Zeriel..." Alex tried to explain, but he was lost for words. I ignored his statement releasing my grip from surprise.
I poked Alex's right shoulder with my index finger, and then stepped backwards. A feeling gripped my bones that I didn't understand. I'm no longer alone.
Then white orbs formed within the ground, and they started their journey to the dark sky above us. Warmth spread under my feet, and I saw a circle begin to form underneath me. Alex's distraught face paled from fear as he tried to grab my arm. However, Alex's hand stopped midway as if there was a glass barrier preventing him to reach further.
I looked down at Alex's hand that was outside the barrier, and felt a smirk form across my face.
"Tsk... tsk. Don't you know the rules? You can't leave. Welcome to my agony, Alex."
"If you harm that human... I will kill you." Alex growled with red eyes filling with fury.
"What do you not trust me to take care of our little pet?" I sneered with a lopsided grin. Then the circle slowly grew brighter, and I had to shield my eyes.

My upper body was shaking, and I could feel a warm presence on my shoulders.
"Alex!"
I opened my eyes to see a human girl in front of me, and her eyes were widened with worry.
I gasped for air feeling my lungs fill with freedom. Then I let out a laughter that echoed across the trees. When my laugh subsided a human loomed above the girl.
"Man... you really are a bunch of freaks." A boy with brown hair spit on my hand, and pushed my shoulder backwards with his bat. I stared at the blood soaked bat as my memories slowly returned.
I glanced around the circle of humans that surrounded me. Then turned my attention back to Roy with a lopsided grin.
"Roy... that's your name right?"
