The Loved One

Chapter 1

My black hair fans out behind me, as I walks towards my new school with my closest friends. I wouldn't call them best friends, but we're all really close with each other. My blue eyes study my surroundings, looking for a threat. Now, here's a list of the friends with me: Tohru Honda, Yuki Sohma, Kyo Sohma, Hatsuharu Sohma, Momiji Sohma, and Jai Saitō. Lilica Talahand goes to a different school, so she's not walking with us. Tohru and Lilca are the only normal people in our group. Yuki, Kyo, Haru, and Momiji are part of the Zodiac. Their family was cursed by the Zodiac. Yuki is the rat, Kyo is the cat, Haru is the cow, and Momiji is the rabbit. I'm also the cat, but I'm a panther. Then, Jai is a Soul Reaper. He kills these monsters called Hollows, and helps spirits cross over. I turn to my friends, and study them. Tohru has long straight brown hair, large pretty blue eyes, and a permanent smile. Yuki has grey hair that frames his face, purple eyes, and has a nice built body. Kyo has short orange hair that spikes up a little, brownish-red eyes, and a scowl on his face. Haru has black roots, and then white on top for his hair, he has grayish-white eyes, and an emotionless expression. Momiji looks like a middle schooler, he has blonde hair, yellowish-brown eyes, and boyish features. Lilica has short blonde hair, bright blue eyes, and a smile on her face. Then Jai has dark blue hair, blue eyes, and a bored expression. Then me, I have long black hair, diamond blue eyes, a scowl on my face, and curves in the right places. I have on a grey cropped tank top, camouflage pants, combat boots, several rings. several bracelets, several necklaces, and black earrings. The rings consist of plain silver bands. The bracelets are different colors on each arm. The necklaces were some dog tags, a real crystal, and a cross. My tank top is grey, it reaches three inches under my chest, and the straps connect in the back. Then everyone else is wearing the uniforms. The girl's uniform consists of a white button up dress shirt, a grey mini skirt, white knee high socks, a grey blazer, red ribbon, and grey flats. The boy's uniform consists of a white button up dress shirt, grey dress pants, blue belt, grey shoes, and a blue tie. Haru added something extra to his outfit, he's wearing lots of necklaces and earrings. So yeah. That's the uniforms, and my friends.

"Yuzu, do you know where we're going?" Jai asks me.

"Not a clue," I smile, innocently.

"What!? And we've been following you!?" Kyo exclaims, angry at me.

"Aw, come on, Kyo-Kyo. You know I was lost in thought," I mock him, knowing he hates the nickname.

"Stop calling me that!" he exclaims.

"Stop shouting, you stupid cat." Yuki sighs.

"Don't tell me what to do!" Kyo and I yell at the same time.

"You're causing a scene," Yuki sighs, calmly.

"Don't you start, you dang rat!" Kyo and I yell in sync, again.

"Guys, I think I found it!" Tohru exclaims, happily.

"Let's go. We don't want to be to late," Yuki adds, calm as always.

"How can you be so calm, dang rat?" I ask him.

"Because I deal with those two," Yuki points at Haru and Kyo.

"True." I nod.

Then we enter the school. Kyo and I glare at each other all the way to class. Honestly, my weakness is cats, but I'm not telling him that. He's a cat, he'll use that against me. Then again, I'm a cat too.

"Stop glaring at each other, you stupid cats," Yuki adds, calmly.

"Stop telling us what to do, you dang rat." I hiss at him.

"What she said," Kyo mutters.

"Aw, the pretty kitty agrees with me," I coo, and ruffle his hair.
