The Loved One

Chapter 14

-Yuzu

What can I say? Ichigo is doing pretty good himself. He's even fighting a captain. I zone out, but Jai hugging me, snaps me out of my thoughts. A big goofy grin spreads across my face, as I hug him back.

"I missed you," I whisper.

"I missed you too." I can hear the smile in my voice, and then the other's start talking, but their voices fade.

I hear someone call my name, but it's dark, and quiet. Is this death?

I stare in horror, as everything seems to go in slow motion. First, Yuzu starts to stumble, and then she passes out. She falls to the ground, and everything goes quiet. Then she turns into a panther, and I race to her side.

"Yuzu! Yuzu! Wake up!" I exclaim, but she doesn't move.

Tears poor down my face, as I bury my head into her fur, and cry.

I watch Yuzu, as Ichigo carries her. I hold in the urge to cry, as she's limp in Ichigo's arms. She had finally transformed back into her human form, and she's still alive, but she'll be out for a couple more hours. Luckily, I healed her, so she should be fine.

I feel myself being carried, but I just lay in whoever's arms I'm in, and relax, but the person seems to notice that I'm awake, because they swing me over their shoulder, and I open my eyes. I look back, and see that it's Ichigo, and I see Inoue sulking for some reason.

"Inoue, why are you sulking?" I ask her.

Her head snaps up, and a smile appears one her face. Then we exit the tunnel, and I come face to face with the floor.

"Dude! What I ever do to you!?" I exclaim, as I sit up, rubbing my face.

"I just felt like it," he shrugs.

"I just felt like it," I mock him, and leave.

I decide to drop by Haruhi's house. So, I enter the door.

"Honey! I'm home!" I sing.

"Yuzu!" Haruhi hugs me, and I notice that the Host Club's here.

"What are these idiots doing here?" I ask Haruhi.

"Just visiting. Don't worry. So, how'd it go?"

"Went as planned!" I smile, and she chuckles.

The Host Club look at us, confused.

"Don't worry, you'll never know," I purr, and then I let out an evil laugh.

"Yuzu, what am I gonna do with you?" Haruhi adds, jokingly.

"Let me go home! Bye!" I leave the house, and head back to my house.

I make sure everyone's asleep, and then I collapse on the bed, and fall asleep.
