The Loved One

Chapter 39

-Yuzu

I sit up, and look around. Everything spins, and blurs. I rub my eyes, and it stops spinning, but everything's still blurry.

"Yuzu! Are you okay!" I hear Athena's voice.

"I-I think so. I... uh... can't see, though." I blush, in embarrassment.

"We need to take you to the eye doctor now! And on the way, I have to show you something." she helps me out the door.

Once I sit down, in what I suppose it the car, she starts talking.

"Okay, so while you were still passed out, I found out what's really happening to me. Apparently, my parents were vampires, and that made me one. The passage said that the first full moon after my twentieth birthday, it will trigger my vampire side. My looks and everything changes, that's why I passed out. The reason you passed out, is because of all the power radiating off me, it must've blinded you, and you didn't seem to notice, so we're going to get your eyes checked." she informs me.

"What changed about you?" I ask her.

"My hair's silver, and my eyes are red." she shrugs.

"Can I get contacts, instead of glasses, because I don't want anyone finding out about my eyes." I ask her.

"Of course..." there's a long pause, until she speaks up again, "we're here."

"You seem to have scratched part of your eyes," the eye doctor says.

"How bad?" I ask him.

"Nothing I can't fix," he seems to smile. "You just need some glasses, and you'll be fine."

"Can I have contacts?" I ask him.

"Sure, but you'll need glasses too, just in case you lose he contacts." he informs me, and then Athena orders everything for me.

"Do you think my sight will come back?" I ask Athena, as we sit there, eating burgers at McDonalds.

"I sure hope so," she sighs, "it probably didn't damage your sight to much."

She had lied about her looks, because earlier she had said that she was ugly.

Flashback:

"Athena, what do you think of when you think of your new look?" I asked her, curiously, since I still couldn't see yet.

"I look ugly," she sighed.

"Can I say something," I smirk at Athena.

"What?" she looks up.

"You don't look anywhere near ugly." I smile, and pat her head.

"Yeah I do," she blushes, and looks away.

Athena has beautiful silky silver hair, dark crimson eyes, like blood, pale white skin, but it suits her, and a nice body, with curves in the right places.

"No, seriously, if I were a gu-"

"Just, stop right there," Athena giggles, lightly.

"We better get to work. It starts in an hour," I sigh, and we make our way back.

"Stop!" I yell at the kids. "You're doing it all wrong!"

I go and fix all their positions, and then I make sure they do it right the second time.
