THIRD PERSON'S POV:

Expectations.

Something every single person in this world has. No one, You won't find a single soul who doesn't have expectations. Whether it's from your loved ones, boyfriend, girlfriend, job or in Ava's case a potential crush.

She may not have known Ben for a long while, but she knew, in her heart, deep down that when she leaves this ladies bathroom, He'll still be there. She shouldn't expect that, No. She definitely shouldn't have expectations with a stranger. She may have agreed to go on a date with him, Not only because of Jess but also because she found him intriguing,  he was still a stranger to her. She knew next to nothing about him.

The man who everyone at the store- and probably out of the store- lusted after had his eyes fixated on her and no one else. Plain, boring, Ava. So, when she went out with nerves creating knots in her stomach and her beating wildly and expecting disappointment, she didn't. Because the guy she came on a date with, who she'd made a complete fool out of herself in front of was still sitting at the table. More so, He has fully turned around in his chair looking towards where the washrooms are as if waiting for someone to return.

As if, waiting for her to return.

She smiled a true smile that evening that reached her eyes.

Ben seemingly worried thought he had ruined the date, he thought he should've gone after Ava. Should've Tried to comfort her. Ask her what was wrong, but seeing her come out of the washroom with a bright smile on her lips and a blush staining her cheeks, despite her tired-looking appearance, he swore to himself he hadn't seen a beauty like hers before. She was naturally beautiful. That was what drew him to her, unlike any other girl he had stumbled upon Ava didn't cover her face with loads of makeup or had gotten caked up, No, she went bare face, but today she had made an exception. For him; for him, she tried to look pretty- though she didn't have to- for him, she dolled up and now for him, she had a beautiful smile on her face that made his heart skip a beat in his chest.

He realized he had been staring at her while she stood there with the blush now reaching up to the tips of her ear.

He chuckled at her cuteness and the effect he had on her.

He stood up slowly, wearing a smile of his own as he made his way towards her. Ava sighed in relief and along with it released a breath she didn't know she was holding on to as she saw Ben making his way towards her with a smile on his face that left Ava assured that he wasn't mad at her for ruining his date. Their date.

''Hey gorgeous, why are you standing here alone?'' Ben asks, as he reached her and took a hold of her hands. ''You could've asked me to come and I would've stood with you.''

''huh?'' Ava asked, confused as to what he was talking about.

He shook his head chuckling, ''C'mon, I'm just messing with you. We have a dinner to eat remember?''

''Oh, Uh, Y-yeah.'' She said nervously, tucking a couple of strands of hair behind her ear that seemed to escape and land in front of her eyes every few seconds.

They made their way back to their table and Ava immediately went into sorry mode apologizing, ''I'm so sorry, Ben. If I wasn't such a mess or a clumsy woman it wouldn't have had happened. I'm so sorry for ruining your day, You're probably thinking how fast you can drop me off and never talk to me ever again.''

Ben sat across her, stared at her and wondering how a gorgeous, stunning woman like her could say that. How could she even possibly think that he never wanted to talk to her again? When in reality he wanted to take her out on many more dates and do more than just talking.
