              It's the day before my first day of school. I must say this is a shocker. I never expected to get admitted here. Not to mention with my background and all. Akai Bara is such a prestigious and rich school, so for a person like me to get in is beyond my reasoning's. Although, I'm quite nervous...I'll be the only girl there...

"(Name)! How you doing up there?" I hear my step father shout from down stairs.

"I'm good! Do you need anything?" I ask back.

"No, just wanted to tell you dinner's almost ready!" He says.

"Okay, be down in a sec!" I reply. I place down my journal (really it's a diary, but reader won't admit it) and head towards the stairs of my cozy home. As I walk outside my room I see my older step brother heading up the stairs.

"Hey Kai," I greet.

"Hmm, oh hey (Name). I was just coming up to check on somethings in my room. By the way dinner's done," Kai responds.

"Alright, see ya down stairs," I wave walking down the stairs and heading to the small dinning room. Once I enter I'm greeted with the fresh aroma of steak, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and biscuits.

"Just in time!" My step father exclaims doing a silly pose as a 'ta da'.

I giggle, "Wow, what's the special occasion. It's not everyday you make so many things for dinner,"

"Well, you are leaving us behind to go to a rich school," My other older step brother, Yuki, jokes.

"Especially to an all boys school!" Kai shouts behind me almost scaring me half to death.

"Kai!" I scold playfully punching his arm.

"Now, now! Everyone take a seat! Wait, where's Haruto?" My step father questions referring to my younger step brother.

"I'm coming! I'm coming! I'm coming! I'm here!" Haruto rushes down the stairs and hugs me. "Sis, why do have to go to that school! I don't want you to be surrounded by any boys!"

I shake my head, "Haruto, I got a scholarship there what I'm I suppose to do, not take it?"

"Yes!" He nods.

"It's okay Haruto. Think of it this way, if (Name) here gets any boys around her, we'll come in and kick all their rich butts!" Kai laughed at his own joke.

"Come on Kai, be more rational. But (Name) if any boys are bothering you. Remember you got three brothers who can and will kick butt," Yuki quickly but in.

"Well, come on, this food won't eat itself," Step father motioned to all the glorious food.

We all take our seats and start to dig in.

Time skip~

"I'm stuffed," Kai sighs.

"Same," Yuki agrees as Haruto nods as well.

"That was great, thanks dad," I thanked and then everyone parted ways. 

Once I got in my room I shut the door and plopped myself on my bed. I then went into my beside table draw and pulled out a picture of mom. It's been a full five years since she's past...I can't believe it. At least I'm not totally alone. I still have my step father and brothers... Step... Meaning we're not actually blood related. For some reason that has really been annoying me lately. I don't know why. Maybe it's that I have no blood relatives. I mean my mom's past, I've never known my real dad, my grandparents died before I was born, and my mom was an only child so no aunts or uncles. 

Now I have to go to an all boys school with a bunch of rich snobs. Or at least that's what my brothers all say. I sigh and throw on some pj's. Maybe a good night's rest is what I need. Just as I climb into bed there's a knock on my door.

"Honey, can I come in?" It was my step father.

"Yeah,"

"You heading off to bed already?" He asks surprised.

"Yep, I wanna get a good night's rest," I answer.

"That's good," He sits at the edge of my bed. "(Name) I know the last five years were hard, but I want you to know everything going to be alright," He reassured. 

"I know," I smile.

"Alright," He kisses my forehead, "Good night." However before he reaches the door he turns around and starts to yell, "BUT, I SWEAR IF ANY BOY STARTS TO APPROACH YOU, YOU MUST WALK AWAY BECAUSE-"

"Dad!!!!" I chuckle at his antics. Then in a matter of minutes, my step brothers came in and had to force him out of the door as I died of laughter.

"Night (Name)!" Kai shouts over the yelling.

"Good night," I reply starting to drift asleep.
