"Oi, wake up idiot!"
"Technically you can't call her an idiot, she's the only one out of the three of us who got a scholarship somewhere"
"Shut up, Yuki!"
"Sis, wake uuuuuuuuuppppppppppp,"
"Haruto, you can head downstairs and get breakfast, Kai and I got this"
"Okay, Yuki. Kai, don't kill (Y/n) please"
"Yeah, yeah" With that said, Kai gently nudged me off my bed.
"That's one way to do it" Yuki sighed as his sleepy sister groaned finally awakening, "Come on, (Y/n), dad made waffles!"
"But is there bacon?" I asked as if I were on my death bed, laying on the floor and everything,
Kai yet again gently nudged my side with his foot, "What kind of question is that? Hell yeah, there's bacon!"
"Hell yeah!" I instantly stood up energized.
"Oh lord" Yuki shook his head, "Next thing you know Haruto's gonna--"
Speaking of the little devil, "Guys! Dad made bacon!"
"HELL YEAH!" All three of us burst in excitement rushing past the oh-so irritated Yuki.
"Next thing you know Haruto's gonna say it too" Sighing Yuki followed his siblings (which he wondered how he was related to) and watched them eat like animals.
Now I wish I could say that was the end of this morning. But of course, there's more.
With the troublesome trio that Yuki had to deal with daily eating breakfast, he stared mortified as our father entered from the living room. Instead of correcting his children from eating like barbarians he laughed happily, "Good to know my cooking hasn't gone out of style!"
I could imagine Yuki could feel the anime sweatdrop drip down his face, "At least at this rate, (Y/n) can't attract any guys while she's dining"
"Hey!" Just then a wild piece of bacon threw itself magically at Yuki's head. Wonder how that happened? Direct bullseye though.
"Nooooooooooooooooooo, sis! Don't waste perfectly good bacon like that!" Haruto whined stuffing his face with waffles submerged in syrup.
Kai looked up from his fantasy of breakfast foods and looked directly at me with horror in his eyes, "How are we even related anymore?!"
Deciding to finally step in, dad placed more bacon in front of us, "Calm down, you two, there is plenty to go around. On more appressing matters than bacon wastage--"
Kai furrowed his brows at this, "There are more pressing matters than bacon wastage--?"
"Have you kids heard of the gang wars that are rumored to start up?" Now, this was a bit more important.
"Really? I didn't know they were such a problem" Yuki then glanced in my direction, "(Y/n) maybe we should start driving you to school again"
"Hold up," I stared back at dad in question, "what gangs, by chance, are feuding?"
"Why do you wanna know?" Kai now questioned.
Well, sh*t. I can't just tell them I made a deal with a gang leader, "Just curious is all"
Dad looked suspicious for a second before that totally wiped off his face and was replaced with a thinking Sherlock Holmes-y one, "I'm not too sure. The news was just talking about it. Apparently, the two gang leaders are supposed to talk soon on the matter..."
From there I just spaced out. What if the delinquent guy I was supposed to meet up with was in the midst of starting a war!? And how could he have so much authority?! I know Koki and Jiro talked about him being a gang leader, but to be honest I thought they were bs-ing! He just seemed like a rebel, edgy teen! What the actual hell!
And wait...
He's just a high schooler...Sophmore, I think he said...
That's a lot of pressure and violence for just one dude even if he has a gang or not. From what I saw he was just playing pranks to irritate particular people.
"--that would be safer unless you have a friend to walk with you, (Y/n)" Dad's voice broke my thinking.
"Wha?" I looked up from my untouched pieces of precious bacon.
"I think it would be safer if you starting riding with your brothers again until the war stuff dies down. Unless you have a friend who is willing to walk with you in the morning?"
Gosh, darn it. As lovely as it sounds to ride with overprotective brothers again, I just have to block that option. But who the heck would I find that would---wait a hot second. What if...? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Noooooooooooooooooo
Maybe
Okay on second thought...Alright, so overprotective brothers or flirty, very annoying, skater boy?
Brothers or Skater boy?
Irritating boys vs. Irritating boy
Well, one's better to deal with than three so...
Watch out, Tadashi, because as much as it pains me to say this, here I come.
"Yeah, I have someone to walk with" I sigh stuffing my mouth with bacon to release the pain that I will have to overcome.
Haruto looks confused at my reaction, "You don't seem very happy about that"
Honestly, Haruto, I could be better. Sigh.
"Wait! What if it's a boy!" Kai was about to start up a whole new problem-- situation until dad interrupted him.
"Now boys. As fun as it is to probably harass teenage boys away from your sister, she has her decision on who she makes friends with. As much as it tortures me to say this, we must let her make her own decisions once in a while. I did give her an option after all"
Looks like we're all in pain today.
"But preferably please make girl-friends!" Dad's instant mood swing swung as he was now clutching me in a bear hug.
"What happened to the decision thing!?" I squeaked as my brothers generously made no move to stop him.
"WELL YOU'RE STILL MY DAUGHTER AND I WANT WHAT'S BEST FOR YOU--!"
"But I'm in an all boy's school how do you expect me to--?!"
"Technically not an all-boys school with you there"
"SHUT UP, YUKI!" Dad and I shouted in unison, which ultimately made us lose concentration and laugh away at Yuki's disappointed face.
Maybe today won't be so bad.
