Lunchtime!

The cafeteria, a wonderful place. When in a state of peace, can be a sanctuary for most. A place where you get to hang out with friends and eat food! However, if facing dangerous times, it can turn into a warzone...Claiming tables, cutting in the lunch line, being able to get in the line first...It's madness. But. The most serious of all...Food fights...

Okay, that's enough monologuing for the day.

Thoughts really can run wild. Then again, lunch can become a warzone. Like right now. I'm holding down the fort! Aka, waiting for Koki to return to our table. Since this is an academy, most of the students are here from pretty rich families. Therefore, they can afford the fancy meals they serve in the lunch line. As for me, I'm good with my bento. Homemade meals are better in my opinion. Although that doesn't mean I would object to trying the extravagant food...
Sharing is caring after all...

"Hey, (Y/n)!" The person who dares to tear me away from my food is no one other than-- Oh it's just Jiro.

I gave him a small wave, "Hi, Jiro, I almost forgot we had the same lunch period,"

"Yeah, almost all first-years have the same lunch period. So, where's Koki? Or, wait don't tell me!" He instantly grabbed the seat in front of me while setting his tray down with him. In a matter of seconds, he had his hand over his heart in an overly-dramatic way while saying his next words as if they were Shakespearean literature, "Have I been blessed, to be in the presence of a princess without her knight glued to her side?" Forget what I said earlier, this would put Shakespear's work to shame.

"You wish, now get out of here," Koki's voice has never sounded sweeter than in that one moment. Sarcasm.

"And there he is with the save. You are on point today," I sighed going back to my bento, which was way more entertaining.

"Well, a guy can dream," Jiro chuckled, "Anyways, I heard you guys met Eiichi! Good to know he's meeting new people. Don't tell him I said this, but he can be a stick in the mud-- Ow!"

"Idiot," A flash of blue rushed by only confirming the belief that a wild Eiichi had appeared.

"Eiichi! Dude, not cool!" Jiro rubbed the back of his head in agony before grumbling something under his breath, "I swear, he hears everything. Stupid Eiichi--HEY!"

"I never knew spoons could fly," I muttered glancing around for the person who threw it only to find him nowhere to be found.

"I'll stop now!" Jiro shouted frantically looking around to call surrender, but that only received a couple of confused stares.

"Please do," Koki shook his head about to bite into his fork filled with expensive luxuries until he glanced down at my inexpensive ones, "What's that," He pointed directly at the two Octodogs in my lunch. Essentially they were just hot dogs shaped like octopi.

Ever since yesterday, Koki has found the Bentos I take to school interesting. Therefore, I teach him a little bit on each item I bring, "Those are called Octodogs. Pretty self-explanatory. Usually, you make them for children and put them in their lunches, but I think they're cute so I still eat them,"

"Why don't you just buy the cafeteria's food?" Jiro bluntly asked.

"Jiro," I could feel the disappointed expression from here as Koki went to answer him.

"What?" How could a guy be so clueless?

"How did (Y/n) get into this school?"

"Scholarship," Even if the answer was clear as day, it sure did pass over Jiro's head.

"So...What does that mean?" Koki urged on.

"She's smart," He nervously chuckled like he was just getting the hint.
