Homeroom

As I walk towards my Homeroom I notice how empty the hallways were. It's apparent that Homeroom's already started and was extended since it's the first day and all. At least I asked one of the teachers back there to give me a late pass. First day and I'm already late! Great going (Name)! I sigh and began looking at the door numbers until I finally spot room 108, my Homeroom.

Once I'm in front of the door I take a breathe and mentally prepare myself for anything to happen. Okay, (Name). You're in an All Boys School! You're in an All Boys School! You're in an---Yeah this isn't going anywhere. Well, here goes nothing!

Knock.Knock

Then I opened the door...

...And I could already feel my face fluster...

Geez! Do they keep all the hot guys in one school!!!

"Excuse me, miss? Are you lost?" Immediately snapping out of my trance at all the guys in the class I regain my posture and state my name.

"I'm (Name) (LName), I'm a student here. This is room 108, right?" I asked, but the whole class began to laugh as if it was the best joke they ever heard in their lives. Such a warm welcome...

"Class settle down!" The teacher demanded as she turned to face me, "Miss (LName) is a student here and shouldn't be welcomed in such a way," In an instant the class went silent, "Please introduce yourself to the class," The teacher motioned me to step up.

I made my way to the front of the classroom and took a deep breathe, "Hello, as you heard I'm (Name) (LName). I know this may be different, but I hope we can get along and treat me as a regular student,"

"Very good, now you can have a seat next to Mr. Touma." The teacher pointed towards a guy with black hair and golden eyes.

As I made my way over to my seat, I felt the eyes of my classmates burrowing through me.  My seat was located in the second to last row next to, who I'm assuming to be Touma, as his seat was next to a large window. After I sat down the teacher began to talk about who our student representative should be and who should be the vice. Honestly I wasn't to into the whole conversation, so I turned to Touma and gave a little wave. However when he didn't respond, I tried to say 'hi' this time, but again was  ignored. Maybe he just wants to listen to the teacher talk for right now. I don't want to be rude so I guess I'll wait.

Soon enough a bell rang signifying that  homeroom has ended and that we needed to get to our first period. Once the teacher began to dismiss everyone I took a look at my schedule to see that my first period was in my homeroom.

-First Period

Science, Room 108           Teacher: Ms. Akane 

At least I don't have move.  I take a quick glance to see some of my other classmates still in the room most likely for the same reason I am. Then when I turn to look at my side I see Touma still there. I guess this is my chance to try again.

"Hi, I'm (Name), nice to meet you neighbor!" I smile brightly and hold out my hand. 

He glances my way then instantly his gaze goes back on his desk, "Hi,"

I feel myself twitch with irritation, "Um, well, what's your name? Since we're in the same homeroom and first period it should be natural that we at least know each other's names,"

"Koki, Koki Touma," He said quietly.

"I'm sorry if I annoyed you when Ms. Akane was talking," I apologize.

"It's fine," He avoided eye contact.

"Is everything okay? I don't have anything on my face do I? Please tell me it's not that bad that you can't even look at my face!" I joked.

He shook his head trying to hide a smile, "I don't like change,"

"So it is because of me you're like this," I state.

He nodded shyly, but then began shaking his head, "Wait, that's not what I meant! I didn't mean to be rude! It's just that I was just getting used to around here and then you showed up-! I'm sorry I'm talking to much!"

I giggled as he looked down with a face flushed of embarrassment, "That's not the response I expected,"

"Sorry" He mumbled.

"There's no need to be sorry. But you said you were just getting used to things around here, are you knew to town?" I ask.

"My parents moved me out to attend school here, but you shouldn't care anyways. I'll probably move out of here once my parents find a 'better school" He said looking out the large window next to him.

I frowned, "But I do care, if you're new here I can show you around. Oh, and also show you the best diners and attractions around here," 

"The most time I've ever stayed in one place was for about a year, so I won't be here long enough to enjoy the places around here. Besides it's better that I don't make friends since I'll be moved to another school soon." He explained.

"That doesn't mean you say no," I smile looking back at my desk.

"What?" I see him look at me weirdly from the corner of my eye.

"You didn't say no to me showing you around. And even though you travel to a lot of schools doesn't mean you can't make friends. In my opinion that'd be cool having friends all over, besides you've probably seen a lot of the world. That's more than me, whose only been in this town all my life," I try to stay positive.

"You're different," He said.

"Thank you, Koki," I smiled and focused on the teacher begin to speak to the class, "Let's talk more after class," I whisper to him.

He looked out the window, "I won't be around here that long, so it's useless to try to become friends,"

"You're the one who said friends. But since you're so beat up about 'moving soon' how about friendly acquaintances?" I offered.

He stared at me quizzically for a moment before answering, "Fine, but I warned you," 

We both focused on the class, not before saying, "I think I'll take the risk,"
