The Dreaded Class, P.E.!

Back again, huh? I just had to come back. Couldn't I just take a sick day or something? I mean, what's the point--

"Are you done sulking?"

"Not yet, give me like 25 minutes,"

"(Y/n), that'll be for the rest of the class,"

"Koki, do you not realize we just entered the class of my demise,"

"We're in P.E." He responded blankly.

I exhaled with a glare. "Exactly,"

"We're not doing anything though. We haven't been since the first day. It's just going over the rules and uniforms," He poked the side of my face which refused to let go of its melancholy expression.

"That's the thing. It's like their drawing out the punch. And once it hits I'll be cowering in the corner." Glancing around at the different students in the class only reminded me of the gender difference. There's no way any of these guys are gonna take me seriously when we get to play something.

"I get your not the sporty type," Someone had stated behind us out of nowhere.

Flinching at the new appearance I turned with Koki to see the guy from our art class yesterday, Eiichi or something like that, "Oh, it's you. And, for your information, I can be sporty. It's just that 50% of the time I'd rather not participate in any activities,"

"Noted," He now stood on the other side of me with Koki occupying the other.

"So, what now? Is Jiro gonna pop up too?" I was already looking through the crowd for him, only to be stopped by both males shaking their heads at me.

"He has P.E. eighth period," They both answered surprising all three of us.

I was left looking back and forth between the two curiously "Not only was that weird but how come you guys knew that and I didn't?"

"Unfortunately, Jiro and I had known each other from middle school. He considers us friends," Eiichi didn't spare a glance at any of us as he kept his focus straight.

Koki shrugged, "I just remember from his schedule yesterday. I caught a glance at it before we left the library," This caused an animated sweatdrop to roll down my forehead.

"Anyways," I returned my gaze to the silent bluenette next to me, "Do you consider Jiro as a friend?"

"What would make you ask that?" He inquired.

"Well, you said 'unfortunately' before saying you knew each other and you said he considered you guys friends. What about yourself? if you've known each other from middle school you at least have to call him an acquaintance," Fully turning towards him, we have completely tuned out the entire lecture the coach was giving, yet it wasn't anything we noticed (or cared about),  "But, considering its Jiro we're talking about I'm sure he's pestered you into being his friend. He seems like that sort of guy anyway,"

"He certainly is a pest at times," Eiichi stare hardened for a second before turning back to normal. Weird.

"That's a bit rude," Koki chimed in but went back to listening to the coach.

"He has a point, you know. I only meet Jiro yesterday, however, I can still tell he's a fun guy to be around. Don't ever tell him I told you that though," The thought of Jiro getting too high on his ego is a scary thought now that I'm thinking about it. If his teasing skills are at a level 1 of cringe, I don't want to see what it's like at a level 10.

"I didn't say he was a pest all the time," Eiichi stoically turned in my direction. If anyone were to glance in our direction it would look like we were having an intense staring contest.

Let's just say I wasn't going to lose, "True, you did say 'at times'. But with your attitude towards him, sounds like you have something against him. Or at least dislike him. I can get if you find him annoying, but you should at least be mature about it," After a minute of the tense atmosphere Eiichi finally stood down, although, from the looks of it, it would appear as though he won. A smirk mysteriously spread across his face. What just happened?

"Interesting," He eventually spoke still with a smirk, "It appears Jiro has been some good friends,"

Bewildered, my posture slumped and I was almost at a lost for words, "What?"

"He was testing us," Koki replied as if it was the most obvious answer in the world, "Observing how we would react to him talking somewhat bad about Jiro,"

"So he was just throwing shade?" At this point, all I could do was watch Eiich dumbfounded as he acted as though nothing happened.

"Throwing shade? What does that mean?" Koki tilted his head in confusion making me giggle as well as kick me out of my distressed state.

"I forgot you lived a sheltered life. One day, I'll teach you a whole new language. That'll be interesting," Sighing I turned back to Eiichi only to get interrupted by the bell.

"Okay, class! Tomorrow we'll go over the equipment! Now, get out of my gym!" Oh, right we were in P.E. class.

"Let's go," Koki began, about to walk toward the doors.

I tugged on his sleeve before he could take a step forward though, "Hold on, real quick. I gotta ask Eiichi something,"

"I don't believe I ever told you my name," Speak of the--

"I told her," Koki simply replied for me.

Eiichi sighed nodding, "I see,"

"Anyway, want to eat lunch together? Koki and I have our own table if you want to join us," I offered even though this was the first real conversation we had.

"Thank you for the offer," He started, yet just had to give the punch to the gut, "But, no," With that he just walked off...What an as--

"Let's go now," Koki grabbed my elbow and pretty much dragged me towards the exit.

"At least I tried," Shrugging, Koki and I walked towards the cafeteria.

"You keep telling yourself that," He countered.

"I will," I slightly pushed into his side, "Thanks for the support back there," I sarcastically carried on and eventually made it to one of the best classes, Lunch!
