Having to Spell it Out!

Finally once Ms. Akane was done with the rules about the classroom, she went towards her desk and told everyone to talk to their neighbors. Aka talk to the people sitting next to you. We only had a few more minutes left of class so I decided to take a look at my full schedule.

-First Period

Science, Room 108          Teacher: Ms. Akane

-Second Period

Math, Room 115          Teacher: Mr. Kao

-Third Period

P.E

-Fourth Period 

Lunch, Cafeteria          

-Fifth Period 

History, Room 110          Teacher: Mr.Forte

-Sixth Period 

Study Hall

-Seventh 

Literature, Room 104          Teacher: Ms. Hanna

-Eighth Period

Art, Room 200          Teacher: Mrs. Fumi

I sigh. Looks like I have a long day ahead of me. Maybe I'll ask Koki if he has any of the same classes as me. And with that I turned over to Koki who was currently looking out the window.

"Hey, Koki, what classes do you have?" I asked. He shook his head, but nonetheless he handed me his schedule.

"We probably won't have any classes together besides this one," He murmured.

"Actually we have all the same classes except for two," I reply still looking at both of our schedules.

He turned to me quickly with confusion, yet shock, written across his face, "What?!"

"Yeah, but you have Literature fifth period and I have History. Then you have History seventh period and I have Literature," I explain handing him back his schedule.

"So I'm stuck with you?" He muttered.

"I take offense to that," I say blank faced.

"You weren't suppose to hear that!" He squeaked. 

"Anyway, since we only have two minutes left let's talk," I reason turning my body so that I was facing him, "So, before, you said you didn't like change. What's that like since you said you move constantly?"

He sighed, "Well, once I move somewhere I usually get a feel for what it's like. For example, when I moved here it was an all boy's school. Then when you showed up it kind of brought me off balance,"

I tilted my head quizzically, "No offense, but how can one girl like me throw you off balance,"

"It just can okay!" He said looking outside the window again.

"Are you bipolar?" I question making him turn around fast.

"What?"

"One minute you're all quiet and, no offense, sometimes rude. Then the next minute you're a blushing, squeaking mess," I inform him causing him to look down.

"So then, are you gonna leave me?" He spoke in an almost whisper.

"This is what I mean," I pinch his shoulder making him sit up straight, "Look, I told you once so I guess I have to spell it out for you! I (Name) (LName), will take the oh-so hard risk, in becoming your friend!" I pledged.

"Whatever," He went back to normal. And just like that the bell rang signaling  second period. Instantly I shot up grabbing Koki's arm and literally dragging him to Math.

Soon enough we got to our second period class and sat together by the window. Even though he may say he hates change and doesn't want friends, I believe he just hasn't had any friends. Maybe he just needs someone to talk to. 

Time Skip~

After second period the day went by very quickly or at least the start of it did. It was finally fifth period. Or should I say the dreaded period. It was time for me and Koki to part and to be honest I'm really sad about it. Through the last four periods I had got him to open up, but only a little bit. The most he showed any companionship was when he voluntarily chose to sit next to me during lunch.

Anyways now we were walking down the hallway until we came to a T-junction. I gripped onto my books a bit tighter, this is the first time we'll split today. I won't know anybody else in my class. 

"Hey," He said to catch my attention.

"H-huh?!" I question as he caught me out of my slight panic state.

"Meet me in the library for study hall," He commanded looking down the hallway.

"What?" I feel a smile creep it's way onto my face.

"Once fifth period is over, sixth period's study hall. Meet me in the library." He sighed, "I knew it, you don't want to--" 

"NO! No, I'll be there," I almost shouted at him.

"Fine," He turned away from me, "See you then," Then he began to walk away.

"Yeah," I whisper.

"You know it's kind of weird to talk to yourself," A voice sung behind me.
