Chapter Fourteen

Adeline's P.O.V

I let the cup of coffee slip through my hands and hit the floor making a pool at my feet.

I see Floyd rush over to me, moving the glass away from my barefoot feet.

I see Calum give a smirk.

"Wha-what are you doing here?" I ask at a loss for words.

"I came to check up on my best mate love, what do you think I'm doing?" He laughs and turns to Ashton.

"I'm not your friend. Now find the door before I shove you out of it." Ashton replied.

"You're really gonna be that way mate?" Calum laughs.

"I'm not your mate. Now leave." Ashton speaks coldly.

"If you wanna play that way fine. I'm not leaving here till I get my money." Calum says, now angry.

"What money?" I speak my thoughts out loud not meaning to.

Calum begins to laugh. I turn to look at Ashton and he looks at Calum, giving him a warning look.

I turn to loom at everyone else and they all look terrified and look at me, as they're telling me to run.

"Well you see." Calum begins.

"Don't you dare Calum." Ashton speaks, his accent thicker, he looks angrier.

"Adeline, I am so sorry." Floyd turns to me, he speaks with something I've never heard in someone's voice.

I have never been more confused .

"Ashton here owes me money. My cut. Ashton runs a buisness. He's a drug dearler. Well, no. He doesn't like to get his hands dirty, he has people actually deal out the drugs for him, myself included. He just distributes them to us to sell for him. Isn't that right Ashton?" Calum says as he gives me a smirk.

I turn to look at Ashton with his head down.

The rooms silent. No one speaks. Everyone with a blank expression on their faces, except for Calum.

Ashton's P.O.V.

I don't know what to say. This isn't how I wanted her to find out. I didn't want her to find out, but here comes Calum ruining it all.

I wanna know her thoughts. I just want it to be me and her. I wish she never opened that door. I wish we would have just continue doing our thing so I can show her how much I want her, how much I care for her. Right here, on this sofa.

I wish this mever happened.

"So Ashton. Money." Calum says to me while giving me a smirk..

"Get the fuck out my apartment. Your not getting shit." I speak.

"That's fine, I'll leave. You see, Luke hasn't been loyal to you. He's been coming to me with the money." He says and it takes me back.

Luke? Luke betrayed me? I saw Calum betraying me happen, but Luke? That hurt.

I shake my head unfazed. Not letting me guard down.

"It's my business Calum and you'll never get it." I laugh.

"Let's make a deal. I'll give you till tomorrow or else." He smirks at me.

"You're no one yo be asking for a deal Calum. You know what happens when someone tires to cross me, you also know what happens when one threatens me." I smirk.

"Don't be stubborn. It's either your buisness or your girl Ashton. You have till tomorrow." He smirks at me.

He heads for the door and stops next to Adeline.
