Chapter Twenty-Two

Adeline's P.O.V.
The week goes by quick, thank godness, it was Thursday already, classes were easy to keep up with, Ashton and I hung out more with Floyd, of course I'm the one who was actually holding a conversation with Floyd, but he doesn't seem to ever mind, niether does Ashton. Ashton and I were better. We're still kind of distant not knowing exactly what we are, but we were better. We actually spoke to one another and held each other at night, we were playful towards one another, it's almost like we were back to normal.

"Adeline, were you listening?" Violet asked me.

"What? I'm sorry. What's going on?" I ask to Violet who came to Ashton's apartment to see me.

I feel Ashton put his hand on the small of my back and kiss my cheek, making me smile instantly.

"I came to give you the keys. One for mine and Luke's apartment, just in case of anything, then my old key to yours." She puts the two keys in my hand.

I take them with a smile. Wow, I can't believe she's really moving in with Luke, I'm happy for her, and Luke's a great guy too, it's understandable, she's offically a college student living life with her boyfriend, and I couldn't be happier for her.

"Well I have to go, I still have some errands to run, but I'll see you guys at that party tomorrow." She said as she hugged me.

Party tomorrow? I forgot about those, for course they still happen, but we were going to a party tomorrow? I had no idea.

I feel a pair of arms pick me up and set me on the counter when Violet leaves. Ashton stands between my legs, I hold his face in my hands and caress my thumbs across his cheeks as he smiles at me.

"We're going to a party tomorrow?" I ask.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to, but I'm gonna be going." He looked down and rubbed my thighs.

I wrapped my legs around his waist and pulled him closer to me.

"Are we okay?" I run my hands through his hair causing his eyes to close.

"Adeline we're fine. What do I have to do to prove it to you?" He asked in a raspy tone.

"I don't know." I gave brief kisses down his jawline and neck.

"Let's go out for dinner and a movie. That could be fun." He said and continued to rub my thighs.

"Mhm." I agreed and I continued to kiss his neck and play with his shirt a little.

"Adeline if you want to be able to leave this apartment with a chance of still watching a movie I would stop. Before I throw you over my shoulder, down on the bed, and take you over and over." He said gripping my thighs.

I let out a small laugh and jump off of the counter. Dinner and a movie sounds like fun, simple, but fun. Like a normal couple thing, and we needed that right now.

"That was terrible. I can't believe you actually enjoyed that." Ashton groaned as we exited the theater.

We decided to watch some rom-com which wasn't too bad. I thought it was pretty enjoyable, Ashton didn't find it the least amusing, I saw him try to hold in his laugh every now and then, but for the most part he was just messing around with my jeans and throw popcorn at me whenever I would slap his arm away.

"What do you mean it was all great. The dinner before, the movie, the popcorn, I liked it all." I laughed and leaned into him a little.

He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and rubbed my arm, attempting to keep me arm as we walked to his car.
