>>>Chapter 6<<<

After about a half hour for searching for a crib that would match the overall modern design of the nursery, and would be safe and top of the line, as Daniel insisted only the best for his child, we were headed over to find some type of decoration for the room, not really having a clue what we wanted as a theme.

We entered an isle with decorative pillows in it, along with some other accessories for cribs. Daniel found a light pink pillow that said "Sleeping Beauty" on it, written in cursive.

"Babe look how cute this is!" He says, looking at me for my approval.

"It's adorable. We can get that and then add some other pink pillows and stuffed animals. We could do pink white and grey for the room?" I respond, eyeing some cute pillows on the bottoms shelf of the section I'm looking at.

I pick up a cute light pink elephant, made of soft fleece material. I smile as I place the elephant in the cart, imagining my daughter snuggling up with it.

Me and Daniel decide on a few more pillows together, then get a light pink and grey chevron sheet for the mattress in the crib, matching the color theme that we have developed perfectly.

We then head over to an isle of miscellaneous decorations, to place on the dresser we purchased a month earlier as we were moving things in and out of the room.

Speaking of dresser, we have yet to purchase any clothing other than the clothes we were given as gifts at the reveal party. Guess we will have to do that after this.

I find a cute lamp at the beginning of the isle. It is simple, a white base, with a ruffled pink lamp shade on top. I hold it up for Daniel to look at, and he nods, studying some different signs for hanging on the walls somewhere.

I gently set it in the cart, and stand there for a minute, taking some time to rest. My feet are starting to hurt from walking around the store, and I am starting to feel pain in my lower back from bending over to look at shelves and such.

I observe as Daniel picks up a sign that says "Thank Heaven For Little Girls", and smiles at it.

"I think this one would be nice above the crib, and then we can add some pictures around it, of us as a family once she is born." Daniel suggests, running his hand along the letters written out on the sign.

"That's a great idea babe. You are a pro at this." I chuckle, thinking about how Daniel is a better room designer than me.

I stand by the cart, watching Daniel place the sign in the cart, along with some pink, white and light grey frames for pictures to soon be taken.

I do know that since I am into photography, I am planning on setting up a photo shoot where we go out and just get cute pictures of me as my pregnant self with Dani. I have seen a ton of pictures from other couples and have been inspired. All I need to do is set a location, grab my camera stand to set everything up and get some hopefully adorable pictures.

"Clothes now babe?" I ask, excited to pick out a wardrobe, knowing I was going to make my little girl a little fashionista.

"Yeah, lets go." He says as he walks over to the cart, pushing it out of the isle we were in and towards the section marked with a sign that read "Girls Clothing", finding the racks of clothing meant for smaller babies.

I sat in the car, scrolling through notifications on my phone while Daniel loaded up the trunk with all of the things we had purchased, putting the seats down to fit the crib in along with everything else. I smile as Daniel closing the trunk, opening his door and sitting beside me, starting the car.

We laugh as we talk about the stupidest things, make jokes, and sing the songs we sang together when we first fell in love.

After the short drive home, we pull into the driveway, to see an unfamiliar car in the driveway.

"Dani did you invite anyone over?" I ask, concerned about the random car sitting in front of us.

"No, I have no clue who's car that is." He says, a little weirded out as well.

"Well should we go inside and check?" I ask Daniel, who is now walking around the car, peering into the windows to try and figure out who's car it is.

"You stay here, I don't need you being put in any danger." I try to steady myself as I am shaking from the fear of not knowing who could be in our house right now, and how they could have gotten there.

I watch as Daniel approaches the door, twisting the knob, opening it slowly. I listen to try and hear what Daniel is mouthing and then I hear him say something through gritted teeth as a gun is placed what looks to be his chest area from where I am standing.

"Get out of here Luke"
