As soon as Daniel laid eyes on his parents standing there, his mood changed completely. His expression was blank and difficult to read, and before he could even say anything, his parents shoved past him, and stood before the bed i was laying in.
Daniels mother looked at adeline, and then grabbed daniel, engulfing him in a giant hug, as daniels father stood staring in the corner by the door where he was originally.
"Daniel I am so sorry." His mom said, and i could hear how fake her "sorry" was.
"You don't mean that." He said, trying to get out of his mothers grip.
"Yes I do sweetie, and i regret pushing you away, so does your father." she motions to his dad, who just nods.
"Stop lying mom." Daniel grumbles.
"I'm not lying! i'm here because i want to be a good grandmother!" She says, the fake tears starting to come.
"Well then maybe you should have been here for the 9 months Autumns mom was." Daniel says, finally pushing out of his mothers grip.
"Sweetie, everyone makes mistake, please give me another chance. You and Adeline can move in and we can be a happy family!" she says, smiling at daniel.
"What about Autumn?" he says , looking at me, clearly annoyed.
She looks at me, and gives me a dirty look, and turns to daniel, pouting.
"Daniel you could do so much better." She says, placing a hand on his shoulder, which he immediately brushes it off.
"What are you saying mom?" he says through his teeth, clenching his fists.
"Daniel, just look at her." she motions to me with her hand. "You could find a pretty model or something, i can even set you up with someone, but she is not going to work in our perfect family." she says, and daniel appears to be fuming, and i can't fight the tears beginning to trickle down my cheeks.
maybe she is right, maybe daniel would be better off with a pretty, rich model. i can't help but think i'm worthless when daniels mother makes me feel like an ugly, terrible person.
i am snapped back to reality when daniels scream echos through the room.
"GET OUT!"
daniels mother looks frightened, and tries reaching out for dani, but he just pushes her away, and points at the door.
"Get out." he repeats, looking angry, and sad at the same time.
she doesn't move.
"JUST GET OUT YOU BITCH! YOUVE DONE NOTHING FOR ME BECAUSE YOU ARE TOO SELFISH!" he says, as his father scolds him saying not to talk to his mother like that.
a tear slips down his cheek.
"Just go." he says, turning around as his parents walk out, and as soon as the door latches he falls to the ground, head in his hands, mumbling incoherent slurs about himself.
Jonah gives me a sad look, and motions to the other boys to leave, and leads them out the door.
Adeline now rests in my hands, and i get up, setting her in her crib.
i walk over to daniel, and set my hand on his upper back.
"I'm sorry Daniel, it's my fault your parents don't want anything to do with you."
Daniel looks furious as he stand up and grabs me, hugging me tight.
"Don't you ever say anything like that." he says, and i can feel the tears still dripping down his cheeks.
"What if it's true? what if you do deserve someone better." I say, choking as i try not to cry.
"Autumn Faith Fuller, don't you ever say anything of that sort again. I mean look around! You just had my child! I am going to marry you! I am head over heels in love with you, and i am sure as hell not letting anyone, even my own mother, get in the way of that." He says, his voice getting softer as he speaks.
"I love you." I say, as daniel grabs my face and kisses me softly.
Suddenly, adeline starts crying.
"I'm gonna feed her, you are on diaper duty this time!" I say, and laugh as daniel pouts.
"I hate diaper duty!"

a/n~ this is long overdue! i am so glad i found time to do this, and also i am actually shocked at you guys.
before my little moment of absence i was telling you thanks for almost 500 reads, and now that i'm back there is 650+ reads! that's crazy!
Thanks you guys so much for sticking with me even though i had to take a break for a bit, i am gonna be going back into normal writing routines hopefully in the next two days, and can't wait to make new chapters for you guys!
but if i can't fulfill everything i have planned i hope you guys can stay patient with me like you have before.
