Another month has quickly passed, and I now sit at home, cleaning up from a nice little brunch I had with Daniel and my closest friend Evelyn and her boyfriend.

As I brought dishes into the kitchen, Daniel was wiping the counters down.

I set the dishes in the sink gently and walk out of the kitchen as I hear a knock on the door.

I quickly walk to the door, opening it to reveal my Ex, Luke.

Luke was a big mistake. He was very abusive, and came home drunk every night, but I just continued to deal with it because I thought I loved him when deep down I know I didn't. And now here he is, standing on my doorstep.

"What do you want?" I say rolling my eyes, starting to close the door, but stopped when he puts his foot in a small crack between the door and it's frame when it is almost closed, keeping it open.

I look through the crack. He doesn't look like he plans on leaving any time soon.

"What do you want?" I say again, but louder, sounding much more aggravated.

"That's not how we say hello now is it?" He smirks, opening the door with force. 

Upon instinct I place my hand on my bump protectively, looking at him with the worst glare I've given anyone in my life.

He watches my actions, and looks down at my stomach, which is covered by Daniels sweater from some pictures we got together in the fall.

"You slut." His words are bitter, and the word slut hits me like a hurricane.

"Stop." I push him away as he begins to get closer to me.

Suddenly Daniel comes in wrapping his arms around me from behind. "Who's at the door ba-" He begins to say but then sees Luke standing there.

"Luke." He says, clenching his fists as he steps out from behind me. He stands in front of me protectively crossing his arms.

"You don't belong here. Go home." Daniel says, his voice cold and scary, even for me. I've never heard this Daniel before.

Luke looks at him smirking his evil smirk. "And since when do you own me Dani boy?" He shoves Daniel a bit, and I step back.

Suddenly Daniels fists fly up and he hits Luke square in the jaw, hard.

"Chill Bro!" He screams as he steps back holding his mouth. "I'm not here for your games, I'm here for Autumn."

Daniel quickly grabs him by the collar holding him less than an inch from his face.

"Luke you are disgusting. You treat women as property and abuse them. You treat them like pets! How can you look at yourself knowing you are such a perverted screw up when it comes to relationships. You left Autumn, a beautiful, talented, amazing girl, trapped in an abusive relationship, playing with her feelings constantly, using her for the most sinful things. You should be ashamed. You best leave my house or you will be walking out of here with more than a bruised jaw." Daniel says, all through gritted teeth.

Luke cowers in fear. "Alright dude I'll go."

Daniel smirks. "Good."
