Adeline

>>>Chapter 22<<<

I have just woken up from a refreshing nights sleep, and i get up and stretch, already playing over the big day in my mind. I step out of bed wearing nothing but some underwear and daniels t shirt, and walk over to Adelines room, opening the door gently being careful to not wake her. I like seeing her asleep for a few minutes, it really calms me knowing she is peaceful and not throwing a classic fit.

I walk in and twirl her hair gently. Her hair has gotten so long, and I find it the most adorable thing. She stirs a bit and my face lights up as hers does when she opens her eyes and sees me.

"Goodmorning princess!" I say, as she reaches out and giggles as she plays with my face. "Happy birthday!"

She says some nonsense, and i contently stare at the now one year old, full of more joy than i can explain. After a minute of tickling and messing around with Adeline, i feel a pair of arms snake around my waist, startling me a bit. I turn around to see daniel, red faced from having just woken up, his hair a mess.

"Morning Mrs. Seavey." He says in his raspy morning voice. Ever since we got home from our honeymoon, which was amazing, he has called me Mrs. Seavey, loving the way it sounds.

After giving me my routine morning kiss, he walks over to adeline's bed, and she immediately makes grabby hands at him. he scoops her up in his arms, kissing her all over her face making her a giggling mess.

I melt at the scene before me, as i am so lucky to have daniel, because he has such a great bond with adeline, and i can't imagine raising her without someone like him in her life.

"I can't believe my princess is a one year old!" He says,  pulling away from adeline's face to pretend to cry, causing adeline to giggle even more, as she buries her face in his neck.

I laugh, and make a pouty face at daniel as it is incredibly adorable.

after a few more minutes of monkeying around with our daughter, i get her dressed so we can begin the day, considering we have a lot to do.

I put her in a simple pink dress as daniel gets dressed in our room.

After i get ready, we head to our first destination, my moms for breakfast and presents. i am nervous about the presents, as my mom always overbuys and spoils adeline and i don't want to show up to a whole toy store in her house.

we pull up to my mothers, and she opens the door, welcoming me with one of her famous hugs, and then does the same for daniel who is carrying adeline and her diaper bag.

we enjoy a nice breakfast, and open a lot more toys for adeline's room, and a cute selection of outfits for her first months as a one year old.

after what seems like another fifteen minute ride we arrive at the why don't we house, as the boys wanted us over for lunch and presents just as my mom wanted us at her place for breakfast and presents.

as soon as we get there adeline knows where we are and perks up instantly, and starts to chant one of the only words she knows other than mama and dada.

"Jojo! Jojo! Jojo!" she squeals from her seat.

"Yes! Jojo!" I exclaim as i take her out of her seat.

she has gained a personal connection with jonah, as he's the most kid friendly other than daniel, and she loves him.

as soon as we walk in the door she spots jonah and screams his name multiple times until he grabs her and kisses her head.

"Hey there little munchkin! Happy birthday." He says, kissing her head again.

she just giggles at the contact and plays with his hair and face contently.

after spending a long time at the boys house, and getting some more presents, i am ready to go home to give adeline her gifts we got her, and eat dinner as i was starving.

we stop for gas, and to keep her content during the stop i take out one of adeline's new toys for her to monkey around with while we wait for daniel to finish filling the car.

about an hour later we are home and gathered around the dinner table, adeline covered in cake and gifts being set out on the table.

after she opens all of the gifts, i begin to put my  plan into action.

"Wait, mama forgot a gift!" I say, as i walk to the bedroom and grab the gift i hid under the bed.

I hand it to adeline and she tears it open slowly, her chubby fingers struggling to grip the paper.

She pulls out the gift, which is a onesie and a cute matching skirt.

"Ask dada what it says baby." I say softly as i take out my phone secretly recording.

she forcefully points the onesie in the direction of daniel, and he begins to read it.

"Best big sister-" realization hits him and he looks at me shocked as i start to laugh.

"I'm pregnant." I say softly, and daniel freaks outs, running over to me and burying his head in my neck, squeezing me tight.

i feel tears run off his cheeks onto my skin, and i feel like i might start crying because of it.

"Awe baby don't cry." i say, as he sniffles again.

"I'm just so happy." He says, and chuckles to himself, squeezing me tighter.

I look over to adeline, the phone still recording, and she looks very confused.

"Momma has a baby in her tummy!" Daniel says, wiping the tears from his now wet cheeks.

she attempts to say baby but the closest she gets to saying the actual word is when she looks at me curiously and says

"Beebee?" Causing daniel and i both to laugh, as i shake my head.

"Yes, a little beebee." i say, still laughing.

I pick up the phone and end the recording, smiling at myself and making a mental note to post the video later on.

Daniel picks up adeline and squeezes her tight, giggling while he tickles her softly. this couldn't get any better.

Baby number 2 here we come.

a/n~ and after  two months of writing, i finally finished, all of my hard work paying off in the end.

i'm actually crying wowwww

i love the way this book turned out, and now i have great plans for my next book, which will be out as soon as i sort out the story line a bit better.

i just want to take an opportunity to thank everyone who stayed with me this whole writing process, and thank you so much for reading this book, voting for it, and making me so motivated and happy to write knowing you guys enjoyed my content. Now that i finished i am resuming my imagines, and starting a new book soon like i said above, and i'm so beyond excited for you to be able to see how i can improve my work over the course of the next few months. thanks again you lovely people.
