THE stench of alcohol hit jennie as soon as she walked into the place she called home. by looks of it and the smell of alcohol he probably was home.

"you're here." a voice slurred. the man came towards her with drunken steps. it was one of those nights again.

almost every week her boyfriend would come home drunk and completely out of his mind. he walked towards her, with an empty alcohol bottle in his hand. he raised his hand clutching the bottle and for a moment jennie thought that he was going to smash it on her but instead he threw it onto the floor right beside her. she flinched but she was used to it now.

she was in an abusive relationship with a guy who did whatever he wanted to her not caring whether she was against it or not. he hit her, alot and treated her like shit. she still had the scars and they were never gonna fade.

he reached for his belt and started un buckling it to hit her. she couldn't take it anymore. it was more than enough. but she couldn't really do anything about it. the man was almost twice her size and way stronger than her, she had tried to escape from his clutches before but he always managed to pull her back and the torturous cycle became worse.

"what did i say about not being late?" he grabbed her wrist and his fingers wrapped around it tightly. they were surely to leave a bruise.

"i was worki-"

"don't talk back to me!" he yelled and the smell of alcohol from his mouth made it's way to jennie's nose.

"let go of me, you're hurting me sejoon." she pleaded.

he raised his belt, trying to use it as a whip to smack her across the face but instead jennie pushed him, a little too hard. he was drunk and his body gave away easily. he slipped, hitting his head hard on one of the shelves above.

his body fell down to the floor as blood began gushing from the back of his head. jennie could do nothing as she stared in horror.

her legs went numb and she fell to the floor. after minutes of staring at his motionless body she crawled over to it and checked if he was still breathing.

nothing.

she had just killed him, she had just killed her boyfriend. she had became a murderer.

not knowing what to do she grabbed a bunch of tissues and started wiping the huge pool of scarlett liquid around his lifeless body but it did nothing.

there was blood all over jennie's hands now. she didn't know what to do. she was panicking.

panic was the only word to describe her feelings. was it bad that she didn't regret her actions because she had killed him but because she was afraid of getting caught?

with trembling hands she quickly grabbed his car keys and ran to the car outside the apartment complex. she wanted to get out of the place as fast as she could. she got into the car and mindlessly started driving. she didn't have a destination in mind, jennie just wanted to get away from the place.

after an hour of driving it was midnight. she was getting thirsty. she still had some money in her bag but it wouldn't last for long. stopping the car at a convenience store, she got down to get a few water bottles.

that's when she heard the sirens. they were getting closer. anxiety and panic started filling her as she hastily grabbed a few bottles and made a run to the counter. the cashier gave her a weird look when she noticed the red stains on jennie's hands.

the sound of car tires scratching against the road was heard from outside. jennie diverted her eyes towards the source of the sound and saw a black car that had come to a violent stop. following the black one two more cars, police cars to be specefic stopped right in front of the store.

a man got out of the black car and rushed into the stores. he had sharp features and a stone cold expression. the cashier's sudden scream echoed through the store, jennie turned and saw the woman's eyes trailed on the man's hand that was clutching a gun.

the police weren't after her, they were after that guy. it all happened in mere seconds and jennie barely had time to grasp what was going on as the guy ran towards her, put his arm around her neck from the behind and held her at gunpoint.
