SHE gasped at the sight of his half naked body. he had abs even though they weren't really prominent. the water dripped off this newly dyed wet hair onto his perfectly carved body. she tried her best to avert her gaze but her they didn't want to cooperate.
a few seconds later realising that she had been staring, she turned away quickly causing him to desperately try to cover himself in embarrassment.
"can you please cover yourself!" she yelled as both of their faces turned red.
"yeah s-sorry." he put on his clothes at the speed of lightning.
"you can look now."
despite him being fully clothed she couldn't make herself look him in the eye. she had seen too much. he too couldn't take the awkwardness so he excused himself as soon as chaeyoung came back.
he spent the rest of the time that jennie got her hair done on chaeyoung's couch watching tv. almost an hour later he was about to fall asleep when from the corner of his eyes he saw her entering the room.
hair was coloured raven black and cut up to her chin. his mouth dropped as he saw how stunning she looked. not that she wasn't before, even with the sweat and dirt on her face she still managed to look better than most women he had seen.
"um so let's get going." he said forcing his eyes off her and looking at the floor.
"you should stay the night and have some dinner." he was so busy looking at jennie that he didn't even notice chaeyoung standing beside her.
"we've caused you enough trouble already, we should really get going." jennie tried to politely reject her offer.
"police patrols are more strict during the night especially with two criminals on the loose." she said eyeing the pair. "besides i don't think you'll find a place to stay tonight." she remarked folding her hands as the two had to agree.
chaeyoung wasn't the best cook which is why jennie insisted on doing the cooking as taeyong volunteered to help. there were times in the kitchen where their hands accidently brushed against each other leaving both of them flustered. neither of them knew why.
the aroma of freshly cooked kimchi fried rice with korean rice cakes flew into the living room and chaeyoung immeadiately made her way to the kitchen almost as if it were calling her.
"you look so cute together." she squealed at the sight of the two.
taeyong turned away flustered, trying to hide his red face and jennie had to restrain herself from throwing a spoon at her friend. she mouthed a "shut up." causing chaeyoung to let out a chuckle.
"okay, okay i'll stop." she said walking over and helping jennie to set up the food.
the only sound heard was of their chopsticks clanking against the bowls as the three ate in silence. awkward silence.
chaeyoung was sure she saw taeyong sneaking glances at jennie and jennie did the same when he wasn't looking. she smiled to herself at how flustered they got when looking at each other.
night came soon. chaeyoung suggested that jennie shared a room with her while taeyong took the guest room. they silently agreed. ▁
the golden sun rays of the morning fell on his face, waking him up. he squinted his eyes and shielded his face with his palm. for a split second, he panicked at the sight of the not so familiar surroundings before the events of the past few days came to him.
getting up, he rubbed his eyes while walking out the room. he felt someone bump into his chest.
"ow." jennie whispered rubbing her head.
"sorry. are you okay?" he asked as she looked into his eyes.
his eyes were like a maze. holding secrets at every corner, every turn. they were a maze no one was really able to figure out. she didn't know if she wanted to forget everything and lose herself up in that maze or figure it out.
his dark eyes stared into hers. from close she could see every small detail on his face. like the scar near his eye and that one eyelash resting itself on his left cheek.
"ahem." chaeyoung cleared her throat the let them know of her presence.they quickly separated from each other breaking eye contact.
"breakfast is ready. but its fine if you two wanna eat each other instead." she smirked. ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁
