"WE need clothes and other things." he said remembering that if they had to stay on the run for a while they would be needing essential supplies.
"where are we right now?" she asked.
"we're almost in cheongju, why?"
"i have a friend here, she can help us." jennie said.
"are you sure?" he raised his brows. "i mean we're wanted criminals right now."
"yes i'm sure. i know her address, you just drive." she assured.
he continued driving still suspecting jennie's judgement but said nothing. they had almost no other choice. soon the car entered cheongju and jennie started directing taeyong. they arrived at a small house.
"this is where she lives." jennie exclaimed.
"are you sure we can trust her?" the questioned once again.
"god damnit taeyong can't you trust me for one fucking time?" she snapped glaring holes through him.
"okay, okay, fine. i trust you." he mumbled putting his hands up in defence.
"let's go." she rolled her eyes as she saw him taking his gun with him. "we don't need that. put it back in." she commanded.
he gave up because reasoning with her was going to lead nowhere and placed the gun back in.
the walked up to the front door and rang the bell. a brown haired girl opened the door. her face went pale as soon as she saw the people before her.
"j-jennie what are you doing here?" she stammered trying to hide herself behind the door.
"chaeyoung please listen to me. i can explain everything. please." jennie pleaded.
the girl looked reluctant as her eyes moved back and forth between jennie and taeyong. finally her hands still shaking she let them in closing the door quickly behind them.
"why are you here?" the girl named chaeyoung asked nervously.
"we need your help."
"how-why?" she exclaimed in confusion. "you're a murderer."
her words stung jennie. she tried to control herself and remain as calm as possible.
"please just let me explain." her voice broke as she struggled to choke the words out.
"okay."
they went over to the living room and taeyong went into one of the rooms to change into fresh clothes given to him by chaeyoung when jennie asked for them. she handed him a few shirts and pants saying that they belonged to her boyfriend.
he wore the new clothes and was about to leave the room when he heard soft sobs coming from the living room. he stopped to hear. eavesdropping wasn't usually something he did but couldn't help it.
"he hurt me, so many times." he peeped his head to see tears hurting down jennie's face as chaeyoung tried to comfort her.
"i didn't mean to kill him, i really didn't." she shook her head.
"i know you didn't. but he got what he deserved." chaeyoung patted jennie's back.
"what do you need?" chaeyoung asked standing up. "i'm ready to help."

chaeyoung worked as a hairdresser. she suggested that the two should change their appearance a bit so that they wouldn't be recognisable easily. jennie decided that she would cut her hair shorter and dye it while taeyong chose to dye his too.
chaeyoung dyed his black hair a light shade of brown and was working on jennie's hair as he took a shower.
"who's the guy?" chaeyoung asked.
jennie then explained the situation in as few words as possible. "wow." chaeyoung was dumbfounded at how her friend's life had taken a wild turn.
"he's hot though." chaeyoung giggled.
"stop it!" she hit the younger's arm getting flustered.
"i'll be back." chaeyoung said as she left to get the hair dye.
the bathroom door opened revealing a shirtless taeyong with nothing but a towel wrapped around his waist. he had completely forgotten about jennie sitting right outside.
