So how I imagined this book was that Lyla is one of those kids in high school that is socially awkward. She can't easily make friends, but when she does they normally leave after a few weeks or months. So she doesn't trust a lot of people/shes closed off to anyone.
Parker is the only one who has been with her for a few years, but something changed. He stopped texting, stopped calling, stopped talking to her. It can be because of a new girl, or he likes her so much he had to distance himself away (stupid I know) anything like that.
On their last year of high school Lyla decides to try to make him remember, but it took the whole year. You can choose wether or not to to make it a happy ending or sad one.
