I huddled closely to Nina as we hid behind the desks. I was so scared. My phone kept popping up the same message: Nobody will love you;). I couldn't control it. It was like my iPhone had a mind of it's own and right now it was deciding to give me away. I heard footsteps getting closer to the door. And closer. Everyone was so quiet you could practically hear the killer breathing. I saw him pass by our door and took a deep sigh of relief. BAM! The man jumped out of nowhere and started slamming his head against the window of the door. Everyone kept quiet. He peered inside. Then he saw me and started staring at me. I was so scared. I was crying. But I didn't make a sound, and neither did anybody else. He had on a plain white face mask on. The forehead of the mask was cracked and there was blood on it. He must've killed somebody else, too. I thought about screaming and grabbing the ruler and opening the door and stabbing him. But instead of kicking down the door and killing us, he just put his finger over his lips and walked away. My teacher embraced me while I started crying. I couldn't even control it.
A few minutes later our Principal, Mrs. Carter, came on over the loud speaker. "Everything is clear. I repeat everything is clear. Code Red is over." Everyone in the class started to sigh in relief. Because of the code red, we were dismissed early. When I stepped out of the class, cops were everywhere. I felt safe, but something in my conscious seemed to tell me to turn around. On our doors window, written in bloody letters, were the words, "Strike One" with an X underneath it. Whoever, or whatever, was doing this is playing a game with me. And I'm losing.
I told my Mom what happened while I was at school. She didn't seem to believe me until she received the phone call and burst into tears. "You're never going to that terrible school again." Mom home schooled me for a while after that, but eventually Dad talked her out of it. Even though she was my step-mom, I still think of her as my real mom. After all, she acts like one. The night before I was to go back to school, after I finished all of my assignments, I went on my Facebook page. I dropped my glass of water. Somebody had hacker into my Facebook page.
All of my followers were gone. Somebody had hacked in and deleted everything I posted. I worked 2 years on this account, and all of my posts and followers were gone. Except for one. I scrolled down and saw a picture of me in my classroom during the code red. The picture was in the back window and it showed me crying while looking at the killer who broke into my school. Somebody had snuck up behind the school and took a picture. Underneath it were the words: remember me? I thought that was bad enough, but things only got worse. Somebody had vandalized my profile picture and changed my bio to i cut myself:). I made sure he didn't send strange and creepy messages like that to any of my friends. Luckily, he didn't. I had no choice but to delete my account.
As soon as I DID delete my account, though, my phone rang. The number was blacked out again. Without thinking I answered. A familiar voice came up. "You're smart. But the game didn't begin yet....." It hung up before I could ask it any questions. That voice was so familiar, though. And I knew who it belonged to: Noah. I went to the suspect list and crossed out Stephanie. Then I wrote Noah Jordan in the second column.
The only class I have with Noah was Computers, and I knew Noah was vert smart. He's very shy, but smart as hell. I don't know if he could hack, but it's a possibility. After I apologized to Stephanie for accusing her, I went on to confront Noah. He was at his locker. Right before I was about to yell out his name, Nina pulled me back and shushed me. "I have an idea." We snuck up behind Noah just as he got his last book and walked away, closing his locked behind him. Nina grabbed the locker door before it slammed shut and looked inside. There were books, papers, normal things you would expect from Noah. Then Nina pulled out what looked like an amulet. But it wasn't.
That amulet Nina pulled out was actually me and Harland's BFF bracelet. I gave it to her a while ago. And there it was, drenched in BLOOD, in Noah's locker. But that wasn't all. Noah had bloody tissues, pictures of Harland, and a white mask. The same one the killer used. I went to go confront Noah, but he was right behind us. And this was the first time I ever saw him that mad.
Noah asked what the hell we were doing. That's when I started to grill him down. "Tell ME, Noah, why I found Harland's BFF bracelet drenched in blood in your locker?" Noah squirmed around, but Nina held him down. "After you and Harland had that fight, I figured she didn't need it anymore so I took it." Me and Nina looked at each other, then at Noah. "What about the bloody tissues?" Nina asked. Noah explained that he tripped right before Gym and got a nose bleed. He was going to be late so instead of throwing them out, he just threw them in his locker. "Well then what about the pictures of Harland and the mask?" Noah looked confused. And he genuinely looked like he didn't know what was going on. "I don't know, but I didn't put them there." Noah walked away and so did Nina while just stood there, like an idiot, looking at the mask and the pictures. Suddenly the lights flickered and there, on the wall, written in bloody letters were the words "Strike Two" with two X underneath it. I turned around in horror and saw the locker closed with a creepy, bloody, frowny face on it. I raced to get Nina and show her what happened but when I got back, it was gone. And I stood there AGAIN, looking like an idiot.
