Jimin and Taehyung's fingers are lightly intertwined as they approach the small dorm.
Once inside, Jimin can feel his heart racing.
He had left so abruptly this morning that he hadn't even changed out of his sleepwear. Taehyung had given him a simple pair of pants and shirt to get him through the work day.
During the chaotic sprint, Jimin had forgotten to lock up behind him.
Taehyung turns the knob and they step inside.
A whiff of cold air sweeps through Jimin as he follows his boyfriend, and he shivers as goosebumps start to litter his arms.
Taehyung flips on the living room lights.
His dorm is shaped like a simple studio apartment, with the living room and kitchen in the same semi-cramped space. Jimin drops his keys on the side table next to the door.
"You cleaned!" Taehyung enthusiastically says like a proud parent.
"I did?" Jimin whispers to himself. And it becomes immediately evident that his dorm is straightened up and rid of any obvious signs of Jimin's depression and lack of cleanliness; the kitchen counter is wiped off and the dishes are put away, the carpet is vacuumed, and it smells like air freshener.
Maybe his mother stopped by today and helped him out?
Jimin pulls out his phone to look for a missed text or call. But there is nothing.
He bites his lip as he stares at the door to his bedroom against the far well.
"I'll go first, okay?" Taehyung says.
Jimin nods at Taehyung's suggestion. He lets go of his fingers and allows the taller boy to approach the bedroom.
The door had been left open after Jimin ran from his home in fright. Taehyung reaches his hand inside along the wall to flip the switch. It makes Jimin flinch, but he isn't sure why.
