Taehyung stands on the step-stool with a drill in his hands as he attempts to install a small shelf in the corner of Jimin's bedroom. His tongue is out and he's focusing hard on making sure he doesn't accidentally drill a hole straight through the wall.

Jimin finds it endearing.

He's sitting on his bed cross legged with the camera box and wires spread out in front of him. Even though deep down he's scared out of his mind, he can't help but steal small glances at the mirror every so often. Of course after the interaction he had with his own reflection, he's simply just waiting and expecting for it to move on its own.

Yet for now all seems calm.

He knows how quickly that can change.

Jimin tries to feel confident. He's not ready to trigger this other version of him into reality quite yet. If he's being honest, he wants to spend time with Taehyung tonight and not drown in an episodic fit.

The two of them have been doing well the last two weeks.

He wants to keep it that way.

"Okay, hand me the camera and plug it in," Taehyung holds out his hands and Jimin complies. Taehyung sets up the mini tripod on the shelf and adjusts the camera so it shows the entire room. Jimin pulls up his phone and opens the app to see the view. From the angle, his nightstand and bed are on the right and the antique mirror is seen across from the edge of the bed. Behind that is his closet and in the direct opposite corner is his dresser and TV.

Taehyung nods in approval. "Perfect,"

"So, it looks like it'll start to record whenever there is movement nearby," Jimin says.

As if on cue, he sees the screen on his phone recording their current interaction. Taehyung gives a cheesy wave to the camera which Jimin sees on his phone.

"Feel better?" Taehyung says and starts to clean up the mess.

"Yes, thank you,"

As Taehyung leaves for a moment to throw the box and trash away, Jimin thumbs through his phone to watch the recording. He feels guilty for not being completely honest with Taehyung about the real reasons behind his desire for the camera. He tries to tell himself that it's for the better if he doesn't know the details.

Jimin does not want to tell people he's trying to catch his doppelgänger on camera.

He is experienced enough to know that it's not an average conversation for normal people to have.

Taehyung reenters the room with two glasses of wine in his hands.

"What's this?" Jimin asks innocently.

"I'm just really proud of you. And I want you to know how much you mean to me,"
