      DANS POV

I walked back up the street after making sure Paige was okay. I taught her quickly how to fire a gun, (All angels know how, basically) and then left. Hopefully, everyone will be okay.

We all stayed in our positions, waiting for the announcement from Phil that they were on the street. I was with my group, all of us covering every point on the second story. I was in Paige's parents bedroom, along with a few others. Mostly everyone was hiding, we wanted to hit them by surprise. If Phil's group can take a good chunk out of his army without being seen, it could help us win this whole thing.

Soon, my phone rang with Phil's caller ID. I picked it up right away.   "They're... coming.... Paige... okay... shot... fine" He said. The whole thing was breaking up, but before I could tell him to restate, he hung up, and we heard guns firing from the street. What the hell? Is she okay? Was he saying she got shot. that she's not okay? What about the rest? They better be fighting okay...

10 minutes later and the whole battle was still outside. Soon, my phone rang again, this time it was Finn calling.

"We've taken out way more than half... with no fatalities... I think we'll be okay. The last ten are entering the house, so just shoot, okay? It's for the greater good." He said, hanging up. Soon, we heard the door bash open and people starting to open fire. My whole group was alarmed, including myself. We all hurried back into our hiding places, guns aimed. We were ready. We heard more arguing, more screams, and more firing as the next few minutes went by. It felt like hours, days, even weeks. PJ was in the room with me, so I asked her to assist me as I peeked down the stair case. I couldn't sit around, I had to know what my group was going to be yp against.

We quietly inched down the hallway, arriving at the staircase. She kept watch for any surprises as I looked down stairs. I saw that everyone on our side was alive, but a few were injured. These guys really were idiots. There was only five left. Four guys that never really liked me when I was on their side, and Jonah. My eyes narrowed. I could do it now. I could shoot him, then run to the safety of my hiding spot. It would be over. We'd only have to take out those four goons. I looked at PJ, and saw him nodding no, but I had to. I quickly aimed my gun and-

It fell. It fell onto the stairs, and it wouldn't stop. It was all the way on the first floor and unless I wanted to die, I couldn't retrieve it. Just my luck, I should learn not to be so clumsy. All eyes on the first floor turned to me, the battle stopping for a few seconds. Jonah smiled his gruesome grimace, tearing up the stairs. My heart thumped quicker, feeling a panic I've never felt before. His wings were in view, dark as the night.

"Dan!" PJ shouted, tossing his gun to me and tearing around the corner. "I'm going to hide. Shoot well!" He said as he dissapeared. I ran into the bedroom, locking the door behind me, preparing the gun. The locked door would stall him for a few seconds, buying me time to prepare. It was just him, after the few seconds of frozen time, a few people easily shot down the other four. It was just me and Jonah, as I had instructed everyone he was mine to get rid of.

I started to have second thoughts, he was a human. He had a life, and was breathing. Before all the crap with him started, I wasn't intimidating at all. I was a softie, and now I was preparing to end someone's life. This wasn't me. None of this was me. The important things are my friends, freedom, and Paige. I should of just gone into hiding and had Jack take care of Jonah. He was more cut out for this than me.

But I started this. I had to end it.

Bang. Bang. BANG. The door flew off it's hinges.

Creak. Creak. Creak. He was walking into the room, slowly yet surely.

"Well, if it isn't Dan Howell.

The last thing I heard was a CRACK, as he fired his gun at me.
