Patton sat on the couch quietly, his mind running elsewhere as he stared off into the distance, his thoughts clearly on other things.
Looking over to his morality, Thomas could only smile as he wondered what the bubbly dad character could be day dreaming about, until;
"Hey Kiddo- Do you have any left-overs in the fridge?"
Thomas held back a snort of amusement- he should've been expecting this.
"Go ahead and check Patton. I'm sure theres something in there."
Grinning widely, Patton made his way to the kitchen and Thomas watched him go, sighing before he turned back to his laptop screen; grimacing at the text he had yet to write. Normally, in times like these, he'd have Joan helping him, but since the morning escapade Thomas thought it better to spend the majority of his day alone until things died down a bit.
"I'll send everything to them later." He told himself, agreeing that if he did end up writing something, he should probably send it to Joan so they could verify it, edit it, or do what ever they needed to make it better.
Looking at his keyboard he wondered how his sides were truly holding up; he had already spoken to Roman and it seemed that his ego hadn't been bruised but rather something else had been affected. The prince was as high and mighty as ever, but he wasn't working at full steam; despite the prince denying Thomas's inquiries, it was evident the creative side was paranoid in some way. Thinking about how Logan was holding up Thomas turned his head to Patton, who had managed to find a couple pieces of pizza left in the fridge for who knows how long.
"Have you seen Logan at all today Patton?" He asked and the moral side looked up, swallowing a mouthful.
"Not since this morning! He's been in his room- and I'm not allowed in there.." Patton pouted sadly.
Thomas gave his morality a sympathetic look before setting this laptop aside and stretching.
"Alright, well, I think I'm going to go take a nap, Sleep has finally found me."
"You mean Remy?"
"Who?"
"No one- I'll probably take a nap too kiddo!"
"Alright.." Thomas offered a confused smile before turning to the stairs and trekking up, yawning as he invited the feeling of drowsiness to take over.
(Remy reference- Just take note that Sleep isn't part of the Sander Sides universe and is not a cannon character- so he also isn't canon in the fanfiction- sorry- just wanted to poke fun :) )

"I don't want to talk about it."
"You're being ridiculous Roman, this has obviously gotten everyone out of order- it'd be most beneficial if we spoke about the problem now while we have the chance to- especially when both Patton and Thomas are asleep."
"There is no problem."
"Can you stop avoiding the discussion like a princess indecisively hesitating over which dress to wear to the ball?" Virgil hissed angrily, shooting a glare to Roman who flinched at the fierceness and stress in his jab before looking away; folding his arms, and his eyes scouring the far off wall of the round room as he angrily glared in any direction besides the anxious side.
Sighing, Logan pushed his glasses back up his nose and looked to Virgil and Roman.
"I find it peculiar how neither Patton or Thomas could not see this, thing... What makes us able to see it, and them- not- able to see it?" Logan's thoughts drifted, deducing any possible differences between the five.
The four sides were obviously all very different in their own way, but it wouldn't make sense for one side to be left out of something that was primarily taking place in a projection of Thomas's mind; and it made everything even more confusing that Thomas couldn't witness something out of his own mind.
"He can very well see all of us..." Logan mumbled and Roman and Virgil shared a glance.
"Not all of us.." Virgil murmured and Logan looked to the two of them, his mind clicking.
"But this thing was sentient, I was able to communicate- this couldn't be just a trick."
"We don't know the extent of these sort of things... Who says it can't be manipulated to seem real?" Virgil speculated lifting an eyebrow.
"So we can't be sure if this is a trick or not?" Roman asked.
Logan nodded.
"How can we and how can't we? It's too hard to tell when we've only seen this much-" He explained thinking back to his strange vision; had that been a trick too? Was it only a mere fragment to steer him off track? Or was it something genuine?
"Then what are we going to do?"
"The only thing we can." Virgil looked up, his eye's aiming a hard stare to the two.
"Expose the snake."
-----------------
"Expose the snake? You can't be serious, it's far too early to assume that he's behind the strange event from this morning."
"But what if he is?" Virgil hissed as he felt his fists clench.
"We do not have enough evidence gathered to point fingers, literally and metaphorically."
"That's true but I think it's safe to say he's messing with us.." The anxious side stressed while glaring at Logan.
"We can't jump to conclusions Virgil." The logical side insisted before sighing.
"Well what should we do if we won't confront him?" Roman suggested with a questioning gaze.
Virgil turned his head to the prince as he spoke, almost wanting him to offer more support than just the few distant questions he was giving; they needed to end this while they could, stop it before it could spread any further.
Why couldn't they understand that they had to act now?!
"I think we should keep an eye out for any more idiosyncratic situations like the last, but I do not think we should go in blindly. I thought out of all of us you'd understand that Virgil."
The two looked at the anxious side and he gazed back, his thoughts whirring angrily.
"What are you trying to say?" He asked, menacingly.
"I'm implying that you have much more experience with him, nothing more and nothing less."
Virgil looked away with a scoff.
"I think Logan is trying to say that you know this much better than the rest of us do- and that if anything, you'd be the most cautious to act out..." Roman said hesitantly.
"Acting cautious around him is exactly what made me into the side you three hated; I think it's understandable that I have a few shot nerves about him...!" Virgil growled. "And if you expect me to sit around while I watch him mess with us, you're wrong..."
Logan fixed his glasses and Roman busied himself with playing around with his shirt collar.
"Deceit is bad news, and I won't let his nonsense go on any longer. You two are either with me, or I confront him alone."

Is Virgil right? Is Deceit really behind these mysterious visions and weird ghosts?
