"Virgil- what happened back there? You were so eager to get on the road and then the next minute you're panicking about going to the rehearsal- You made me nervous for something I'm usually excited about...!" Thomas stopped himself and took a deep breath.
"What happened?"
After Thomas's rehearsal had wrapped up for the late afternoon and he had driven back home, Thomas decided to make it a point to confront his anxiety for the strange and out of place panic attack he had experienced. He felt as though it was unneeded and had delved out of thin air; he was worried Virgil could be prompt to more attacks. And although Thomas understood Virgil couldn't help but worry some times, he was scared for the possibility that more of these panic attacks were going to be distributed at more dangerous times; he wanted to be prepared."I don't know- One minute I was talking and the next I was waking up." Virgil shrugged, squirming uncomfortably and avoiding eye contact out of nervousness.
"What do you mean, 'waking' up?" Thomas questioned, confused and stressed.
"Calm down kiddo." Patton stood up from where he had been sitting at the kitchen table.
"We're all just as confused as you.""Yes, I agree with Patton. Let's take a moment to process and rewind." Logan stepped in.
"Whilst you were driving Thomas, Virgil started feeling rather anxious about the nearing social gathering, and he expressed his concerns to us. We offered our assistance and then Virgil had-" Logan paused trying to think.
"An episode of unconsciousness.""Wait- what?" Thomas asked, his eyes wide as he looked to Virgil for an explanation.
"Yeah- I.. I passed out I guess." His anxiety looked at his feet, embarrassed."I believe Virgil was overloaded with anxiety, which prompted him to faint as he tried to get back on the scale of equilibrium; which pressed your anxiety levels-" Logan pulled out his vocabulary cards and shifted through a few.
"-over 9000." He finally finished glancing around to everyone.
"Right.." Roman commented uncertainly as he looked to Logan, judging the usage of the slang.
Thomas sighed.
"Alright- Well, next time, before that happens, let's try and calm down. I don't want to have a panic attack some place where I may be in danger. For instance, had I gotten the panic attack while driving, I would've been in a whole lot more trouble.""Right, sure- I'll try my best to warn you.. next time.." Virgil shrugged.
"Can I go now? My eye-shadow needs to be reapplied and there's an angsty song awaiting me and my headphones."
Roman snorted at Virgil's request."Sure Virgil, if anyone deserves to have a relaxing evening, it's you." Thomas agreed tiredly, sighing.
"Thank you." Virgil replied begrudgingly before dissipating away.
Thomas combed his hand through his hair, trying to rearrange it neatly.
"Are you alright Thomas?" Patton asked.
"No.. I mean yes- I don't know..." He admitted, trailing off before looking to the three remaining sides.
"I didn't like how the rehearsal went tonight, I'm tired, and I frankly don't want to deal with anything right now." He put a finger to his temple and massaged it.
"Please keep an eye on Virgil. Help him out if he's feeling distressed- I'm going to bed."
