A few minutes go by and I start to move when someone picks up my arm, my eyes snap open and I see a woman in Astria clothing taking that bracelet off. I almost immediately start to feel better, so I try to crawl back away from the woman but she is still holding onto my wrist. She said something, I think it was a spell, and the bracelet turns from gold to silver and puts it back on me. My mouth is still dry and I can't talk, she picks me up and puts my arms around her neck, I look and see the older man and the two men with red eyes fighting with a man dressed in Celestial clothing.
"It's alright little one, you're safe now." As the woman finishes she teleports us the what I think is one of the palaces, I slept for two days but it definitely doesn't feel like it. I have never been outside of that little town, but I have read about the Celestial palace and that there are stained glass windows all throughout the hallways. But we weren't near any windows so that isn't useful, we walk into a very large room and she sets me down on the bed. I try to get up but she blocks me form sitting up and I don't have the energy to fight back.
She summons a glass of water and I realized I haven't had anything to drink in almost three days. Not even thinking about it I took the glass, after a few moments she decides to speak, "What's your name dear?" I stay silent, she glances at the purse my dad had made for me, "Is your name Elodie?" I don't say anything, "Do you know why you're here?" This time I shake my head because I don't know the reason why I'm here, but I wonder if I should act like a little kid who just lost her parents or a prisoner, I chose to stay silent. She sighs and gets up to walk out of the room, leaving me there.
I wait a few minutes before I get out, and I try to jump down but the bed is really tall, it's at least a foot taller than me. I didn't want to get hurt so I threw a few pillows down for me to land on; and once I get on the floor I see that the bed bed was about a foot or so off the ground, that's a bad hiding spot. I make my way around the bed to the window, there's a little couch in front of it so I climb on top and open the curtains and see a garden about three stories down. I can't get out through there. I go to a different door and try to open it but my fingers just barely make it and I open it to find a large walk in closet.
The last one probably leads to the bathroom but I check anyway and I was right, so I go ahead and close it again. Right when I think about going to the door that leads to the hallway I hear footsteps getting closer, I run to the closet and close the door behind me. The lights are off but I can still see a little, these dress were for someone older so the reached the floor. I hid behind this insanity fluffy white dress, sat down and tried to stay still and quite. The door from the hallway opens and there are some angry voices in the next room.
"Calm down she couldn't have gotten far, she's probably just hiding." The same woman who brought me here said, I can't move at all and I can't teleport or use my invisibility magic. I look down at the bracelet, it has to be because of this thing, it was gold before and it made me weak and sick. But when the woman changed it to silver I felt better, but I don't think I can use magic because of it, it has to be a nulling charm. The door to the closet opens and my stomach feels like it's in my chest, a light comes on and someone is walking around. A pair of high heels join them and they start to move some dresses, at least it was a better spot than under the bed. "Are you sure she didn't leave the room?" It was one of the men from Mr. Cho's, "Yes I'm sure, there was a guard outside the entire time and she can't teleport away."
Right before the person who is moving dresses next to me puts it back, I slip behind the one he had already checked. "She's not in here!" The man inside the room yells, "I thought you said she couldn't use magic?!" He's angry now, I lean on the wall behind me and stay as still as humanly possible, "Calm down, she is here, she's just scared." The woman said firmly, she might be the princess that's getting married to the prince in the Celestial kingdom. I can hear the high heels coming back into the room when they stop right in front of me, I hold my breath hoping that she will just leave, she doesn't.
