2 years later

It's the time of year when everyone comes home for a month, Elisabeth is now 11, Phoebe is 10, and Luka is turning 7. Even though my birthday is in the middle of the year, I won't be getting on that train until next year unfortunately. Declan and Naomi have actually finished their internship, own their own farm raising animals, growing beans and peanuts, and are even expecting!! And they're both 17!! This world is so different than what I'm used to, plus my parents are both 32 years old. So they are actually pretty young to be parents, even by this worlds standards. But that's ok, I had a lot of fun messing with them, even if it was just a year and a half.

The Vripia kingdom is actually much nicer than it was 4 years ago, but it is still similar to a dictatorship still. And the Yacan kingdom will be taken over by the oldest son of the former king in Autumn, who is actually is my uncle, my family is so confusing. The number of students going back to the academy is getting smaller and smaller every year. And until Naomi and Declan have their baby, I might end up being the only kid going on that train for a few years.

And that all to familiar train sounds could be heard by everyone on the station platform, there are only 42 kids who are going to be going back on that train. And because there're so many people who want to learn how to maintain a farm, dad had the 4 others that were living with us build a separate living quarter. So there are going to be 5 more living there, so basically there's a frat house half a mile from my house, but at least they're quite.

That traveling merchant comes by town every 6 weeks, and because our farm is closest to the border, he has to pass us every time he comes. So I get first dibs on anything there!! It also means that I have 60 more coins every time he comes back, but the most that I have ever spent was 20 coins. And I have made that little purse of mine indestructible, so for the last two years I have been carrying around this little thing. It's made from Celestial silk, the background is midnight blue, with white snowflakes, and a moon with a shadow on it, with my first name embroidered in ruby red.

The first ones to get off are my siblings, they look so excited! Elisabeth is basically the gossip girl on campus, if you wanted to know something, Lizzy was one you went to. All the way home she talked about how the king and queen of Vripia had a 3 year old son and daughter, they were twins. And that the soon to be king of Yacan is also engaged, to the princess of the Astria kingdom, this is so complicated, especially because the twins from Vripia will be attending academy in 2 years, with me. I'm fairly certain that Phoebe will become a writer and Luka might be a knight of some sort. Lizzy isn't going to shut up until they leave, this is going to be a long month.

5 weeks later

It's been a week since everyone left again, and when Lizzy was here she told us how there were assassination attempts on the royal family in Vripia. It's weird, its like I should feel bad, but then I remember all the bad stuff that he and his family had done over the years. I stayed inside the house because there have been Yacan and Vripia soldiers in town, saying that they had a witness who said that princess Annabella was here around the same time she first disappeared. I haven't been allowed to even go near the windows, for the last two years I have been changing my face to look more like my mom. Just in case something were to happen, my siblings wouldn't recognize me and if I ever took off my disguise magic. And if if it meant that they would be safer, and if absolutely necessary, I would wipe their memories.

It was late at night when I started to smell smoke, I got up and the floor felt hot. I ran to my parents room when I saw that they were dead, there was a man who had a knife with blood on it. I slowly backed out of my parents room and ran back into mine, I grabbed my purse and summoned everything on the second floor into it. And I teleport into the field and grab some corn and throw it into the bag, that man was looking for me, he was dressed in all black so I didn't know where he was from.

The adrenaline rush I had made me run, my disguise magic had completely failed and I couldn't teleport. I didn't know if it was because someone had placed a nullification barrier around the property or if it was because I was scared. After what seemed like hours of running I stoped, and everything hit me like a hammer, I was sobbing. My father doesn't know that I exist, my mother killed herself after I was born, and my mom and dad were murdered in front of me. Either my father or my grandfather or someone else killed my parents and all I could think was,"it's my fault, It's my fault, ITS MY FAULT!"

I stayed in that spot for a while when I saw that I was by the willow tree my mother was buried under, 'I need to run, I need to run now.' I was so tired, it was around 3 in the morning, but I couldn't stop, because I knew that whoever killed my parents were going to find me if I stayed here. I reached into my purse and took out a cloak that would hide my hair and eye, it might be dangerous but I need food. I can't put living things in the purse, but if I put food in it, it won't go bad.

No, no I can't go into town, I know that stealing is bad, but it's more dangerous for everyone if I stay. I'm just glad that Lizzy, Phoebe, and Luka weren't here, worst case scenario they have to find out that their parents and sister died in a fire. But because the fire would have destroyed any coins, I summoned them all into my purse, which was surprisingly around 5,000 coins. I had no idea how well off we were, and in total I had around 6,500 coins. But then again I'm still 4 and a half and I have no idea how expensive things can be. I only grabbed 15 husks of corn, and if I have to eat 4 a day, I should be good for almost 4 days.

I teleport to an orchard nearby, now it's about 5 o'clock and people will get up soon so I had to grab everything I could that wouldn't be noticed. So I grabbed all of the apples, oranges, peaches, and pears on the ground. I heard someone opening the door to the barn nearby, I got scared and quickly used invisibility, I don't have enough energy for this. I haven't slept almost all night. I only took the fruit off the ground, they would have had to throw it away anyway. I was able to get 12 apples, 7 oranges, 12 peaches, and 15 pears, 15 to 12 more days of food.

Mr. Cho came out of the barn and I hid behind a tree so he couldn't see me, but it was just instinct, like when you play hide and seek and the seeker gets down to the last number. "Come out, I know you're there, you're not fooling me." I must have done something to make noise, or he was watching me picking up the fruit. I stepped out, I'm to tired to use any magic at this point and I feel like I'm going to pass out. "Elodie? Is that you? It can't be, someone said that you and your parents were in a fire. Elodie?" That was the last thing I heard before I passed out, I'm four and a half years old and I slept for only 2 hours last night.

2 days later

Mr. Cho was a single father, he had four boys and lost his wife last year. When I passed out he picked me up and put me in a bed, when I woke up it was 8 in the morning and there was a note on the bedside table. It read, "Little one, do not run off, there are still some things that need to be sorted out before you run off to who knows where. Please do not leave, I will make you some food." My stomach was grumbling loudly, well that was awkward, but just the thought of food made me hungry. I have no idea what is going to happen next, the pillow was still wet, I guess I was crying in my sleep. My purse was still on my wrist, I just hope that Mr. Cho didn't turn me in.
