Chapter 9: Annabella

Annabella's Point Of View, First month of Spring

The war stated getting worse in the beginning of the Spring, and we were winning, I had an entire plan set up to get rid of Leon. But then I walk in on Lilly speaking with my father, I listened though the doors at first but when I heard her telling him about my plan. I barge into my fathers office and stands up starting at me as if his eyes were daggers, "You planed the assassination of prince Leon of Vripia?!?! This madness stops now!" Lilly does not turn to face me, I look at him and I ask, "What do you mean by that? Father what are you going to do?" I was furious and could hear it in my voice, and he looks at me with those sea blue eyes and yells, "To speak with the king of Vripia!"

He summons a silver bracelet and with barely a flick of his wrist puts it on mine, he put a nulling charm on me! Before the affects completely set in I try to take it off but it was to late, my powers were cut off. "What are you doing? Are you insane?" He strikes me across my face, I stand there shocked, he has never laid a on me, or any of my siblings for that matter. "I am completely sane! I am trying to help our people, I don't care if we are winning because our people are still dying for no reason when there is a simple solution!" I am afraid of what he is going to say and Lilly stares at my father with wide eyes. "To marry you off to prince Leon! If he will have you that is."

Lilly runs out of the room with what sounds like sobs, this is why he put this bracelet on me, so I can't get away.

6 weeks later, first month of Autumn

I still have this damned bracelet on, my father has me on lock down, there are two guards watching me at all times. The war has officially ended, I have not seen Lilly since she betrayed me, I still have no idea why she was crying because she told me she hated that worthless soul as much as I did! And not being able to user magic is making me insane! And now knowing for a fact that I'm going to have to marry him does not help in the least.

4 weeks later, third month of Autumn

My siblings did not see me off, and on the way to the train to Vripia my father did not say a word to me, he has not said a thing to me since he told me I was betrothed to Leon. The carriage stops, this is it, my father steps out first and helps me out, he still will not look at me. I get on the train and I am off without a single word exchanged between the two of us, and I still have that damn bracelet on.

2 weeks later, first month of Winter

The wedding is tonight and I still cannot believe that cowered has not had the balls to see me. I have been here a week and one of the only people that has to me is Ingrid, Samuel's wife, another thing I found out since I have been here is that Leon has a younger brother. I am 19, Leon is now 20, Samuel is 18 as is his wife who is 8 months pregnant, she has been so kind to me and even talked to me about baby names! She has silky brown hair and light green eyes, and she told me that Samuel looks just like Leon.

4 hours later

I have no one to walk me down the aisle, I am doing this by myself like I have done everything else since my father put this damned bracelet on me. I get half way down towered Leon when there is a scream behind me, Ingrid had been stabbed and her attacker has gotten away, several other men dressed in black come from the dark and start to attack. Leon teleports to me and takes Ingrid to the infirmary, and I to a bedroom and locks the door with magic and leaves me there.

1 week later, second month of Winter

It is Ingrid's funereal today, she was able to deliver a baby girl who was named Lacey, and she looked just like Ingrid. But because of the poison that was used on her somehow made the baby sick, some of the maids are afraid to touch her. So have been taking care of Lacey since Ingrid died, we went to her service and I held that sweet little girl, Leon and I still have not exchanged a single word. As people said their last pice, Leon, Samuel and I were escorted back to the palace as the fresh snow crunches under our feet.
